'20 DC WR Rakim Jarrett (Maryland signee)

Of course the dog comes in here trying to dash our hopes
lol, I told y’all when he committed not to worry, that wasn’t going to stick. Honestly don’t know if you want to be #2 on the list either, just the team on signing day. He has great body control, he looks like what a 5 star WR should look like.

IIRC that was always the knock on Arnett. Freak athlete who'd have to learn how to play WR. Rakim is very polished and ready to go. His film is outstanding.
I’m for all the highly rated players we can fit into a bus, but it’s just been enough experience to know that things don’t always work out. Kyle Phillips was supposed to be better than Derek Barnett, but Butch, injuries and whatever else held him back till a decent senior season... and NO ONE thought Derek Barnett would out Sack Reggie White

Always wait and see

End around is still a player from the wide receiver position and should be taken into consideration. I would take a whole team of average wide receivers if the avg over 15 yards a touch and had over 1000 yards and 8 touchdowns in their one year of SEC football.

Clowns still couldn’t stop it. They knew to plan for it and Patterson would turn them all into hamburger meat on his way to the endzone

Didn’t make him a great RECEIVER tho...which was the original gist of this conversation. IMO Devin Hester is a surefire HOF player...but not as a WR.

And while Hester is the best punt returner in NFL history, CP may well go down as the best kickoff return specialist ever. He’s averaging 30yds a return and keeps getting signed specifically for that role.

Hester did both...excellently.

No doubt about it, but he was still better as a punt returner than as a kickoff guy. CP is already 2nd on KO TDs and avg. As long as they don’t get rid of the kickoff entirely, he’s got a chance to claim the top spot in most of those categories.

I’d like to see the stats. Allz I know is that Hester scored the quickest TD in Super Bowl history...on a kickoff.

Hester had in 11 years 295 kick returns for 7,333yds with an avg of 24.9yds per return and 5 career TDs

CP has in 6 years 176 kick returns for 5,276yds with an avg of 30yds per return and 6 career TDs

Both tremendous return guys but CP is on his way to being the best kickoff return guy ever during an era that’s slowly eliminating the kickoff altogether

Um Hester had way more yards and TDs than that. You are omitting his punt returns. CP isnt on Hesters level.
