No, I don't think so. Poor health due to heart attacks and on dialysis. But, he was that way before he signed with UT. I think he was mainly upset when Charlie Baggett left and Dooley didn't support him. I think he used father's health as an excuse. I don't think he's judging anyone.

Well I do. I'd say that's a pretty good excuse.

The Bowles deal is mind-boggling! He's was an Espn top 150 with a great offer sheet. Also is a super high character, hard working kid. Just makes absolutely no sense. You never know what your going to get with these guys

I'm with you on this chattavol. These same thoughts go through my mind each time Josh Smith drops a catch. I can't imagine Drae is worse that Josh.

I honestly believe I could run a better route than Bowles, every time I watch the practice video's and he's running a route I think. Why didn't they cut that walk on player? Than I realize its just Bowles. I think he gives us athleticism on special teams, but that's about all.

What I can't understand is a clown like Josh Smith starts before Drae Bowles and Paul Harris. Is Butch buddies with his parents or something?

He's just a 19 year old athlete who does what he's told and tries his heart out. No clown.

P.S.-I think he runs good routes and is a good blocker. It would help if he could learn to look the ball in. That's coaching.

Was just wondering why do you think DeAnthony Arnett is still riding the pine since he transferred to Michigan State Univ. from Tennessee

Maybe being a backup receiver on a cellar dwelling SEC team does not make for a starter on a top 10 squad. Just my thoughts.

Maybe more of an indication of how bad our receiving corps was. (Don't mean the guys who left like Hunter and CP but the guys behind them.)

Speaking of Hunter, seen him play yesterday (Sunday) he is looking good and they expect great things from him.

Patterson had a great game as well.

So nice to see Vols playing well at the top.

I have heard this.

No you havent, STFU.

Josh Smith isnt a horrible player, he's just had a few drops.

You ever drop anything? Anything important? Hell, I bet it hasnt been 1 month since the last time you dropped your $500 cell phone.

Josh Smith definitely needs to be more consistent catching the ball in games. I'm not sure anyone on the Hill would dispute that.

Zach Rogers dropped quite a few before he improved in his Sr. year, so there is hope for Josh I guess.

He realized DD was a moron before a bunch of people, dont blame him for that.
You have to look at the history of these transfers they typically don't work out for the better. He couldve been the big fish in a little pond this year

He handled the transfer like a punk, which I don't think he is. I'm pretty sure he was getting bad advice from his brother. It was disappointing to say the least, as we really needed him this year.

I have seen a lot of people say that. He certainly couldve done better, but he was a youngster, and looking at his leadership at the time (DD) it makes it more understandable.
I thought DD handled EVERY transfer like a punk

Say what you want about most of his recruits, but there are definitely more than a few bright spots.

CP, Hunter, AJ Johnson, Maggitt, etc etc

I wouldn't classify Maggitt as a bright spot. Had a great freshman year and then disappeared. Would like to see him have some kind of resolution to his career.

So he's a clown because he drops passes? Makes perfect sense. I swear the dumbass factor is at an all time high for our fan base. We need to win games quickly.

He's a bright spot. Can't condemn a kid for getting hurt. ACL, MCL stuff is no joke.

He took a year off, he will be back next year and be in full form, watch and see!

I wouldn't call him a clown, but man his hands have been awful for the back 6 games. At some point he got hurt, if I remember right, and he came back and he couldn't catch anything. Kind of weird, cause I really thought he was doing very well early in the season.

My question is why Devrin Young didn't get much love at receiver this year. I mean obviously the coaches felt like he wasn't doing as well as the others in practice, but I've always felt confident in Dev as a receiver. He did a pretty good job last year when his number was called. Extremely explosive player (though I don't think he has the best vision, or didn't seem like it on KR sometimes) It'd be interesting to see what Pig and Young could do on the field at the same time. Very fun players to watch.
