What I can't understand is a clown like Josh Smith starts before Drae Bowles and Paul Harris. Is Butch buddies with his parents or something?

what i dont understand is how grown men get on here and call kids clowns? Think we have learned that many family members read the board, sure they appreciate their kids being called names by 'fans'.
Sure if you ask Josh Smith if he dropped those balls on purpose, he would tell you no.
Sure if you ask the coaching staff who scout, evaluate these kids everyday in person and not on youtube they will tell you they are putting the best player on the field.

He's a bright spot. Can't condemn a kid for getting hurt. ACL, MCL stuff is no joke.

He took a year off, he will be back next year and be in full form, watch and see!

He has essentially taken two years off. Understand it is no joke but he needs to come back and have a good year.

I can't fault Arnett for leaving. Hell if Dooley was my coach I would probably be looking at other opportunities as well. Arnett was mainly here due to Baggett.

Still you have to think he would've got on the field here with the WRs we've run out onto the field all year.

I wouldn't call him a clown, but man his hands have been awful for the back 6 games. At some point he got hurt, if I remember right, and he came back and he couldn't catch anything. Kind of weird, cause I really thought he was doing very well early in the season.

My question is why Devrin Young didn't get much love at receiver this year. I mean obviously the coaches felt like he wasn't doing as well as the others in practice, but I've always felt confident in Dev as a receiver. He did a pretty good job last year when his number was called. Extremely explosive player (though I don't think he has the best vision, or didn't seem like it on KR sometimes) It'd be interesting to see what Pig and Young could do on the field at the same time. Very fun players to watch.

Although not a WR - I wonder what happened with Summerhill - I thought he did pretty good when he played early in the season - then never heard about him again.

Smith, Bowles and many other kids could just be slow learners.

Many times everything just comes together and clicks in their Junior or Senior seasons and they suddenly become great.

You never know when someone is going to breakout and really surprise people.

These are kids going to college, trying to keep their grades up and trying to learn how to become great football players all at the same time and that's a HUGE load for young kids to be undertaking.

Many of you Xbox and playstation experts need to THINK before you say hateful, ignorant things that will hurt these kids especially since none of you could make a college football team at any level.

These hardworking kids are doing the best they can under tough circumstances so stop bashing on them and simply say THANK YOU for all the do and go through so you can try to enjoy watching college football while you sit around and get stupid drunk.

It's sad that some people on here make good fans look really stupid and have chased off some other great fans that used to come here and share solid info with us.

Back on topic...I really do NOT care how a kid is doing that chose to leave our Vols and go elsewhere.

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

He's just a 19 year old athlete who does what he's told and tries his heart out. No clown.

P.S.-I think he runs good routes and is a good blocker. It would help if he could learn to look the ball in. That's coaching.

He is an outstanding WR, his only flaw is he can't catch.

He probably should have tried Eastern Michigan if he wanted to play a lot in the state of Michigan. He wasn't gonna play much for us and probably want play a lot for Mich. St. either.
