u get a like

now you are gona get jump on too for telling the truth:dance2:

As a sophomore Harrison wasn't great

That was mainly because of limited playing time. She averaged 9.5 ppg and 7.5 rpg in 20 minutes per game. I would like to see her go to 30 minutes a game as well as Mercedes. Mercedes only took 193 shots this season with an average of .596 percent. I expect that to go to around 300 shots next season. At the same percentage her average would jump to 10.3 ppg and rebounds should rise to 8.5 rpg. I could accept those percentages as a sophomore especially at the percentage she shot this season.

Harrison's numbers her sophomore year were also largely the result of injuries. Prior to injury, she was showing the same stuff as this year.

I generally agree with your comments on Russell, but she also needs to learn how to create shots. She didn't shoot more because she doesn't have any post skills: no back to the basket moves, no hook shots, no step through, no jumper, no fadeaway. She's tall, period. She shot a high percentage because she only took shots when facing the basket against shorter defenders, or offensive putbacks. She needs to learn post moves; she can't do 80% of the moves that Izzy has in her arsenal.

I just don't understand all this "Izzy" love? She fizzled big time in every big matchup. the girl from Stanford made her look awful. when UT needs her the most she fouls out early....

Izzy comes to play and doesn't back down. Sure, Chiney made her look like a HS player, but Chiney is on a different level altogether. Izzy always does her part, but doesn't get enough support from the rest of her teammates. Vandy1 game was the only one where she was taken out with foul trouble, and the #1 recruit on the bench or last year's NFOY couldn't come in and put away an undersized in-state rival. In the MD game, no one else but Simmons was willing to take shots, and she was smothered in the paint. That's not on Izzy.

If you're looking for a player that doesn't show up in big games (or most games, really), that would be Cierra Burdick.

My only criticism of Harrison is she has way too many turnovers, and many seem to come at key times

I would rather have Harrison turning the ball over because she's trying to make something happen than Burdick throwing the ball away to Holly on the sidelines because she's scared sh!tless.

Izzy isn't perfect and she makes her share of mistakes, but she gives more than she loses.

Not so..CPS was good but new Sheriff in town...
Teams are stronger ,better ,smarter,I like CPS but back then you didn't have the teams and the great players you do now..Women basket ball was like a dirty word ,no one even heard of it really. Then along came Geno Auriemma
and they played TENN ,things really got heated up,sundely women basketball got the attenion it deserved. To say Warlock already learned from the best coach in the history of the sport.is just plane wrong....IMO GENO right on top..NOw going for number 9,match his bio and you might change your mind.YES CPS was good, very good for her time,no one can say she wasn't the greastest ,,,But new Sheriff in town.

Auriemma holds the following records and achievements for NCAA basketball:

Highest winning percentage among active coaches, men's or women's (.863)
Most NCAA Division I women's championships as a coach (8, tied with Pat Summitt)
With men's coach Jim Calhoun, the only coaches at the same school to win men's and women's NCAA Final Fours in the same season
Coached four of the seven undefeated seasons in NCAA women's college basketball (1994–95, 2002–03, 2008–09, 2009–10)
Most consecutive trips to the Final Four, women's (6, 2008–2013) (The men's record is 9 held by John Wooden of UCLA)
Fastest women's coach to 500 wins, 600 wins, 700 wins, and 800 wins
Fastest coach to 800 wins, any level, men's or women's
Most consecutive wins, men's or women's (90, 2008–10)
Largest margin of victory in a Division I NCAA tournament final (93–60 v. Louisville, 2013)
The win streak of 90 games was bookended by losses to Stanford on April 6, 2008, and December 30, 2010. Among women's teams, the previous record was Auriemma's Huskies teams of 2001 to 2003, who won 70 straight.

Let's quit fooling ourselves Lady Vol Nation, our basketball program is old school. You may like it or hate it but the new Tennessee is UCONN. Ask yourselves, "How did other Lady college basketball programs become good when Pat was on top?" They emulated the Tennessee program of Pat. We have the talent right now but the coaching system must change. The women's offense is a four headed monster, rebound, outside, mid-range and inside. We are at best half good at these phases. We could have been a monster inside if the coaching staff had spent more time training Russell the way Geno worked with Stewie. This young lady came to Tennessee with more awards in high school and all star games than most recruits, including Stewie. If I have a 6-6 player with that much talent I am training her to dominate.

We had better learn and change or we will be like great programs of the past, Texas, ODU, La. Tech, Texas Tech, get the message. One last thing, Holly has got to learn how to interview. She looks scared and uneasy. She does not sound very confident. She has said several times this year , "I don't know" when asked why the ladies have so many turnovers. Isn't she the one person who should know? Holly, some people are better followers than leaders. In the words of Clint Eastwood, "A person has to know their limitations." Lady Vol Nation take your head out of a hole and really see where this program is going. We are in the fast lane going 45 MPH and we are being passed by the UCONNs, Notre Dames, Louisville, and Baylors of the world. Either run with the big dogs or accept 16th best. I love the Lady Vols and refuse to accept 2nd best.

Let's be real, I love the Lady Vols BB team but it is on a downward slide. Geno is the present top gun, Pat's great days are in the rear view mirror. We have the talent, the question is do we have the coaching? You have a 6-6 post who could dominate the game like she did in High School and in domestic and international all star games. Why are we not developing an outside and mid range offense? Why are we always committed to the inside game? Those days have come and gone. Let's get real and quite hating on Geno and find a way to kick his UCONN butt!!
