Dear Leader wins Nobel Peace Prize.

Maybe so, on the part of the Europeans. But Obama can't be blmed for that.

Blame probably isn't the right word. However, his continual denial of American exceptionalism, his moral relativism and revisionist history, his deferral to world government, his overtures to the world's worst while criticizing our allies all have EARNED him this statement award from Western Europe --- they love that he views America the way they do or at least claims to view America that way.

American Exceptionalism..... I am going to have to remember that phrase.

Nicely done and couldn't be more on the money. A money shot, if you will.

but the application deadline was Feb 1, which is less than two weeks after he was inaugurated. Prior to that he was an absentee Senator and professional campaign fund raiser.

An article in the Tribune points that out this morning...

but the final vote was last Monday and was picked out of almost 300 nominations

and as of last Monday, Obama had done absolutely nothing, zip, zero, zilch, nada to deserve the award.

He's alienating our allies and kissing up to our enemies.

.... but does ANYONE here believe Obama should have won the Nobel prize? I mean, there were 172 other candidates that actually did something, some of which risked their lives. This reminds me of the time I was a kid, and got a potato from the grocery store. I entered it in the 4-H club exhibit at the fair, and won a blue ribbon. The Nobel prize is Obama's potato.

According to the criteria laid out by the head of the committee he did. I liken it to the Heisman Trophy, you say congratulations, and get on with life. This should be in a different forum.

Wouldn't compare it to the Heisman. The player who wins that accomplished something.

While we're at it. Last night I was cooking chicken marsala and was wondering what kind of cheese would go better with it mozzorella or pecorino? Oops, never mind, forgot this was a football website.

wrong on several levels, which is probably why you're lost.

I think you just actually posted exactly why he won it!!!!

a better comparison would be awarding a Congressional Medal of Honor to a private who just completed Basic Training. He's shown potential and his heart is in the right place, but nothing more.

I just wanted to send a big shout out to the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Good call guys, good call.
