Like 2nd? What else?

I'm 100% sure the 2A would be the biggest discussion and then I'd bet big money that freedom of the press and speech would be up for grabs along with the 4th and 10th. Once that opening gavel strikes IDC what the stated mission of the CoS is everything would be up for grabs and the federal .gov isn't going to stand idly by waiting to see what comes out of it.

You still need 38 to pass. I think term limits and more generic cross aisle issues would pass.

Americans do not have the stomach for armed revolution to take back power from DC. DC will never give up power on its own. The judiciary will not limit the scope to constitutional power.

There really is no hope that the balance of power improves.
From what I've seen over the last 6 years or so, the only thing that will get the "patriots" really fired up and ready to march the streets is a football player taking a knee before a game and a transgender "beer" ad campaign. Couldn't get the "patriots" on the streets after lockdowns. Couldn't get them there after they shutdown Easter 2020. Couldn't get them there even after a stolen election and forced vaccines.

I guess it will just have to come down to bread and circuses for the "patriots". Cancel Monday Night Football or have Biden put a ban on bacon and maybe the Blue Lives Matter/"Thank You for your service"/"for God and Country" crowd will rise to their feet.

So Yellen says the most recent tax receipts are lower than expected and June 1 is deadline to raise the limit. Biden has invited leadership from both House and Senate to the WH for next Tuesday.

We will obviously see the usual brinksmanship but I worry that people like MJT or Gaetz who laugh at burning the whole thing down might have too much input on this.

You sure as hell couldn't tell by my return. Of course, that's what happens when the federal government starts handing out money to its constituents voters in the name of equity.

You got a parent on Medicare or SS? Ask them how they feel about "redistribution of wealth" to them.

I am getting money back for the first time in 25ish years. It wasn't due to bad planning on my part other than unwinding bad investments, but there is NO doubt it is the Joe Biden, leftist disaster of an economy that caused me to lose money.

Oh ****ing well.

And that proves some point? I highly doubt I will get anywhere near what I paid into either of those out of them, nevermind any kind of profitable return.

The soap opera melodrama of which liar is placed where doesn't matter to me. And to be honest, it is rather disheartening to see grown men be so wrapped up in the drama; as if it is a 1980s prime time television show.

Re debt ceiling: I have interest to see who has a semblance of rationality to go against more debt. Biden's paid PR liar claimed not raising the ceiling would be detrimental for the country. If our county relies on ever-increasing debt to be robust, we might as well burn the whole thing down and start again.

Re tacking on additional unrelated riders to proposed bills: I have not seen any party lead by example or stand on principle that bills should be stand alone, be simple in scope, and easy to comprehend. Perhaps the last politician to even espouse such a notion was James Madison.

This is more of the same. Hyenas howling hysterically clamoring for control of the pack while the watering hole slowly turns to dust.
Coming from an avowed socialist progressive liberal trans something or other, this assumption that all the people doing this are men is rather disturbing. Also, are you implying that 1980's prime time television is better than that produced by millennials and following generations. I tell ya, I'm just insulted, triggert, hurt, suicidal.......

The lead paragraph:
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Tuesday warned of an “economic and financial catastrophe” that would decimate jobs and make loans more expensive for years to come if Congress fails to raise the debt ceiling and the government defaults on its obligations.

Here's an alternative plan, Janet. Cut spending on "non essential" budgets in order to meet the government's obligations. Every citizen, regardless of age, already owes almost $100,000 in borrowed and wasted money.
You need to be in DC Yellin that.

Lol “people like free money”. Shocking.

Let’s not pretend that’s the only way to meet the rights proposal
