A California judge has ordered a court to respect the pronouns chosen by a rape-accused prisoner despite the DA's concerns the inmate is exploiting legal protections meant for transgender convicts.

Madera County Judge Katherine Rigby ruled last week that prosecutors must refer to transgender prisoner Tremaine Carroll, 52, by female pronouns.

Carroll is accused of raping two women and impregnating a third while incarcerated at the Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla where she was serving 25 years for robbing a jewellery store.


Carroll was housed at the female-only jail after being transferred from a male prison despite previously admitting kidnapping charges and facing allegations of other sexual assaults.

Fort Worth Museum Accused of Supporting Child Porn​

The Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth is facing accusations of promoting child pornography in a controversial exhibit titled, “Diaries of Home.”

Several photographs in the art collection depict children in sexualized poses.

“These images are presented under the guise of art, but in reality, they sexualize children and exploit their innocence,” read a letter signed by dozens of pastors, religious liberty groups and concerned citizens.

They noted that a museum plaque “shockingly describes the collection as showcasing ‘children naked, moody and in suggestive situations’ to ‘evoke an edgy, dark side of childhood.’”

I have mixed feelings about this. My 2 younger sisters are both adopted. Both former special needs foster kids. My parents adopted both when they were just toddlers, a couple years apart. 1 of them had been physically abused as well as being born drug addicted. The other was born HIV positive. They are both young adults now and doing OK...but there are LOTS of kids stuck in foster care. More that should be, because they live in bad conditions. Kids need homes. I am all for that...those kids have social workers though, a guardian ad litem advocate, standards for adopting parents etc. Its great that some of these kids are getting a home, but what about the ones that dont? What does it do to the kids that arent chosen? What happens to kids AFTER they are adopted? Who checks on them periodically, doing in home visits to make sure they have everything they need? Who is protecting these kids from abusers and especially pedos???

I am all for fostering. All for adoption. All for helping kids...but what I just saw was disturbing and scares me.
