sufficient wealth to live your chosen lifestyle

Would you define wealthy the same way?

With your definition, I am almost rich. There are a few things I want, like the ability to travel, but I have mostly everything I want - shelter, food, and bicycles.

then you are wealthy in my book.

to be honest, if I was single, no kids, I would consider myself wealthy making about 30k per year as I am alot like you...minus a car.

Most people want to be rich. I want to be wealthy. Shaq is rich. The guy that signs Shaqs paycheck is wealthy. That's the difference. - Comic who's name I've forgotten

This is an entirely false statement. No one on here attacks the rich for being successful.

What I, and others have said, however, is that the rich use money and political influence they purchase in order to skew the taxation system to their advantage whereas the middle and lower classes don't have that option.

show me how the tax system has been skewed by the rich to screw the poor?

sure they do when half of the US doesn't pay taxes. Seemed pretty well skewed to me

Ultimately yes - I think it's a relative term; relative to the person.

It could be defined by earnings, wealth, relative position compared to others but each of those definitions has problems.

Ultimately, you know what it takes to live how you want to live.

It is not "to hurt the poor." It is to help themselves.

And if you need proof of that you are just a moron.

show me how the rich skewed the tax system to screw the poor or shut the hell up.

calling me names is just your five year old way of showing everyone you lost.

how is is skewed when they pay 0 tax and have earned income credits that actually cause them to take home more than they make?
