Delta Variant

Well the covid vaccine doesn't have the actual virus in it, unlike the flu vaccine. So in his case he was probably just unlucky. How long was it after he was poked before he got sick?

For what it’s worth, the flu intra nasal one uses a live virus. The intramuscular one does not.

It seems like there is talk that we could see cases back to where they were due to unvaccinated people. But wouldn't we at minimum see a 50% drop since we have around 52% fully vaccinated. At ~333M people in the US, that leaves 176M "at risk". (yes that is still high) Not including the lower risk from prior infection and the fact that older people accounted for more but now have vaccination rates in 80%+

All this being said, wouldn't it be statistically impossible for numbers to approach where they were? That the new high would be much lower due to vaccination, herd immunity, general knowledge of ways to lower risk, etc

You have to take into account that the delta variant is 225% more transmissable than the original strain.

Much more dangerous than the Delta Variant, is the Democrat Variant.

My favorite thing about it is how it makes some people act like silly partisan hacks once it crosses the blood-brain barrier. The Republican Variant does the same thing and oddly shares 99.999% of its DNA with the Democrat Variant.

What you say is true if the vaccines work. We've told that they do but we've been told lots of things. If things do get back to where they were then they've got some 'splainin' to do...

I fully expect they will announce a need for another "booster" shot for the "Delta" variant as well as masks until the 2022 election is over (possible super spreader event).

Kentuckians might be. Their Governor is a schmuck. GOP Govs aren't locking down again.

Yep. Daddy Andy decided it was a good idea to pay a $500 incentive to go back to work to ppl not working instead of cutting off their f-in unemployment. And we also are giving away $3M in a lottery for those having had the vaccine.

Our roads are $h!t, the state pension is not self-sustaining, we cannot attract big industry, but we are giving money away in a lottery (the money came from the feds…you know, the money the fed doesn’t have…)

I FULLY expect Daddy Andy to pull some dumb $h!t in the near future.

EDIT: $1500 incentive to go back to work.

J&J now recommending a second jab.

I never have heard how much we are paying per dose of this vaccine anyways. J&J was supposed to be a 1 shot vaccine, so now it's a 2 shot vaccine?

You and your liberal northern populous voted him into office. Are you saying you're having voters remorse?

Of course you don’t need to listen to any doctors, you are capable in finding the information you need to make the decision.
For me and my experience, a good doctor can be the difference between life and death and I am so grateful to have found some good ones that I trust.
You are trusting and emphasizing much more than a local family physicians opinion. You lean too heavily on mass media as exhibited by your posts.
