I would rather not wish anyone the best thats not coming to tennessee... what does that even mean? we hope they have super successful careers? maybe a few national titles, well I'm sorry I just can't do that. If I had it my way we'd have every 1st team all-american and our 2nd string would be the 2nd team all-americans, we'd win every game and everyone that turned down UT would regret it in the biggest way possible! But thats just me. Your either with us or against us and thats the bottom line.

IMO venting is OK, it keeps us from going nuts. :crazy:

I'm just saying let's have some class and not take it out on the kid. It's his life and he has to live with his decision, right or wrong. I wish him the best.

ok lets not take it out on him... he still shouldn't have committed if he wasn't sure... I think these guys just like the buzz it stirs up, they like to be in the spot light but hey I guess they earned it... I still refuse to wish him the best because the best is national titles and I only want that here!

I don't like when good players decommit either, but this is a bit on the extreme end. At the end of the day, these kids are choosing the best place for *them* and I don't think it's fair to hold that against any of these kids unless you could somehow prove that they did it maliciously.

because I won't wish him the best?? I don't think thats extreme... If you are going to Tennessee then I really dont care about you unless I know you personally, which I dont know this guy so I couldn't care less how he does at UTex
however if you come to Tennessee I don't care if your from the other side of the world I will hope you succeed in ever way possible

Actually I would rather have the great kicker we are getting. We would have won a couple of more games this year if we had a good kicker.

At least he was man enough to call Tennessee and let them know he was decommitting. I prefer that rather than him tossing our hat on the ground during signing day to put a Texas hat on.

We have been promised that our coaching staff will go after the very best players. I am convinced that if anyone de-commits, it is because our staff allows them to drift away in order to sign a better fit.

My confidence comes from watching the development of the players we have, and the improvement in this team from the beginning of the season.

I'm tired of watching these kids decommit. Players like this do not know the meaning of commitment. I guess he did not want to be a part of the turnaround at the real UT. He also wanted less of a chance to play. I'm about to not pay any attention to this recruiting stuff until February when it is NATIONAL SIGNING DAY. That is when we get a true SOLID commitment.

I think "X" from Basilio said it best, if your going to follow recruiting you can't go half way. You need either to be all the way in or not in at all.

wow this thread is annoying and this sucks bigtime b/c he would have been a great safety.

On the other hand, at least its soon rather than later..so we can at least recover from it

I will be!!! whenever it happens... its just we have had 2 decommitments in a row with no new verbals so i feel like I got a storm cloud following me around until the next good thing happens!

Some of you guys need to put a gun to the left side of your head and blow your minds rights. It's great to have pride in your university and the football team, but some of you get way too butt hurt and take things entirely too personal. If you're going to get overly emotional over every commit and decommit then maybe following recruiting isn't for you. Watch the games, follow some basketball... hell watch the World Series, but don't look at recruiting until February when they sign on the dotted line.

Who cares, You win some, You lose some. There are lots of players out there just as good or better! If he dont want to play for Tennessee I dont want him!
