No, of course this guy and Palin are not literally comparable. Point was, many of you on here say you think Palin is a bit of an embarrassment to the GOP and it is likewise wrong to blast the entire Democratic party for him getting nominated.

i don't blame the dem. party for it, i think voters were 2 lazy to do their research, and just voted for the name closest to the top

Ya. Besides, it isn't like South Carolina Republicans haven't had a series of state embarrassments in the last few years.

Stupid is bipartisan, and a South Carolina tradition.

i think a lot of ppl just checked the first box, and since his name starts w/ an A he got the VICTORY. i can barely sit thru watching those interviews. gotta love how he went across the state campaigning but yet couldn't name one city or town. also have to love the fact that he's been drawing unemployment for 9 months

But his last name is Greene?

While on a radio show, the host asked if Mr. Greene even knew who his opponent was and he had to resort to looking at a piece of paper to get the answer.

Great job SC democrats.... :good!:

The parallels are uncanny aren't they? Except even Obama has a bit more sense and awareness than this clown.

People who think this moron is a Republican plant should really read that article and use common sense.

Even if the Republicans got him on the ballot, the Democrat supporters in this state voted for him! If you don't want the guy in office and you think he's a plant, vote for the better candidate!

The whole thing is a big joke and the Democrats make our state look like a bunch of buffoons pulling crap like this....

Whole thing is wierd. He's on unemployment and basically about a week away from being totally homeless and he shells out a little over $10k to run for US Senate?

you give the republican party too much credit if you think they pulled this off.

Oh, its just rank speculation they had anything to do with it. Almost certainly didn't. Can't decide which is more weird: his being in it at all or winning the nomination.

Rusty Humphries interviewed this guy on this radio show tonight. Wow, he makes Barbara Boxer look like the president of MENSA.

I honestly think it could have been Dems who will NEVER vote rep but wanted the current guy out. They just voted for anyone BUT the current? I know I'm really wanting to do that with Corker in 2012, even if Bubba Bojangles runs it does not matter I just want to fire Corker. (Although in the end I would most likely hold my nose because I'm a wimp).

Corker is not great, but he is much better that Alexander. I can't stand that RINO
