I'm staunchly conservative, and yeah, I'm afraid of him running again. One disastrous, yet totally preventable, electoral defeat is enough for me. I don't want him screwing up 2024 (and probably 2022 while he's at it).
You are crazy if you think he is gonna shut up. I hope he burns the GOP to the ground.

No. Would still need 17 GOPs to vote to convict. While many probably want him gone now they don’t want that stain on the brand. Remember the party game!

Maybe your right, I don't see them getting it done before the 20th anyway.

They want to make his name radioactive so his supporters won't touch him. They want to jump on him while he is down to finish him off. They are like a gang of teens that knock a person down, and then kick him in the head. The buzzards are circling.
He probably should have just graciously conceded when he lost the election and all of this would have been avoided.
That's on him. But he saw a way to bilk a hundred million more out of his worshipers and couldn't pass it up.

I think that he either destroys the Republican Party from within, or does it by running as an Independent, or starts organizing a new political party. If he is on the ballot, along with a Dem and a Repub, the Dems win going away. Maybe we need a swift descent into 100% Dem rule.

Nope. Cocaine Mitch will stonewall it. Which is all the house wants to force. Mitch isn’t BFFs with Trump anymore but he doesn’t want the brand stain either.

No way that very many Rep Senators want to face their voters after voting to convict a Pres a couple of days before he is to leave office.

“I think he should leave. He said he’s not going to show up. He’s not going to appear at the inauguration. He hasn’t been focused on what is going on with Covid. He’s either been golfing or he’s been inside the Oval Office fuming and throwing every single person who has been loyal and faithful to him under the bus, starting with the vice president," Murkowski told the paper.

Very true. If/when the Right decides it's time for an "insurrection," you will damn sure know it.
This was a simple case of people getting riled up and given an opportunity to basically do what they want. No different than any of the 100+ riots last year. Less damage and less deaths. I lay the blame squarely on the people in charge of security at the capital.

But insurrection? Lol. An unarmed insurrection?? lol. America is full of virtue signaling mental midgets.

He wont win if he runs again. Plenty of Republicans won't give him a vote. I won't.
