Are US farmers winning bigly? 2B of USAID food monies possibly evaporating, Climate monies evaporating, potential for further losses to exports, a push to move from HFCS....Domestic charity programs shuttered by DOGE while he pushes for some nonsensical "anti-Christian Bias czar".

Gas is up. Food is up. Job reports are down. Stocks down. When's the winning start?

Trump's been in office a whole 18 days. But I get it... they have only saved $32 Billion so far. USAID personnel reductions alone will save $250+ Billion. It's a great start. Once we get rid of the Dept of Education Indoctrination we will be well on our way to being back on top.

They'll look to reduce dependency and will take a hard look at what to do next time.

Right now Canada and Mexico would take a massive hit, even recession, but we wouldn't come out of this as winners. No one wins in a tariff trade war. And it's not how you "negotiate" with allies.

Anyway, Canada put out a pretty strong response that would have taken us down a peg or two, and you obviously saw the markets' reactions to this nonsense. We don't come out "winners" if Trump doesn't back down from his nonsensical "Uh, its Fentynyl, uh it's deficit, uh they're treating us bad, uh who wrote this trade agreement (Trump did, btw)" BS.

Canada and Mexico simply had to give the Baby in Chief his iPad to shut him up and he backed down from dragging our economy.

Gonna be hard enough for farmers and workers. They've now maybe been spared from certain ruin.

Well that's a point of debate. Fine if you think that, but it will happen. I, personally, am a proponent of using economics to keep BRICS at bay.

You keep BRICs at bay by strengthening the dollar and our economy, not by continuously manufacturing dollars and handing them out around the world. That just makes the dollar weaker and less desirable.
