Department of Government Efficiency - DOGE

The people who don't understand this already are people who just believe we can get more revenue by raising taxes, and I don't see how DOGE changes that perception by calling out waste. They'll still believe we can raise taxes and get what they want.

I disagree that of 350M people no perspectives will be changed.

I also disagree with you that DOGE will not put pressure on Congress.

But that’s fine. The ultimate litmus test will be the budgets over the next 4 years.

Also, @DC_Vol how will we see this effect manifest in congress? Are we gonna see a spending decline? Liberals in liberal districts gonna stop trying to get BS funding for the arts? I don't see it.

I think the measuring stick for success will be cutting out $2T from the budget.

Lol. Imagine self identifying as a Libertarian, but the one time in history when a chainsaw is being taken to the bloated and corrupt bureaucracy, your only comment is "Why are they being so public about it?". Ron Swanson and Ron Paul would be glued to their TVs and giggling like school girls. But Eeyore the "LIB"ertarian has found a way to bitch about it.
This is why we call most "libertarians" lolbertarians.

The idea behind libertarianism is sensible. The practicality is nonexistent. And I would wager that most of the loud and proud lolberts are just degenerates that want to do drugs all the time.

As the public becomes more aware of the raw extent of wasted spending they have more support behind making regulatory change stick rather than immediately being reversed with the next administration.

They could tone it down some but there's value in continually reminding the public of the waste.
The public needs to become acclimated to the idea that the government is a money pit if given 1/100000000 of a chance and electing people that are openly and actively belligerent to that happening is a good thing. Battles can be had between apposing sides about what is "appropriate" spending but wasted tax dollars should not be tolerated by either side.

I would say the priority is going to be funds used in criminal activity, I said that during the first week. They are going for the sources of America's problem. Much of these funds were used in criminal activity.

Some of it won't be clawed back because its not necessarily criminal in nature.

I’m not following. Why not shine a bright light on egregious government waste?

The PR is to get the message out to the citizens. The citizens need to do their part and hold their elected officials accountable on spending.

I’m really perplexed at your position on this. It’s irrational.
Why isn't there more transparency?

Also, why is there so much transparency?

Also why don't they have "clearances"?

Also why are they asking for "clearances"?

Also why don't they just break the rules and release all the information?

Also why are they breaking all the rules and precedent set by the government?

Even more reason to show your work and say "these are the payments we're referring to" rather than relying on 'everyone in the public' to verify for themselves

Maybe they will release that in an easy to search/read format. But then of course people will be complaining that they changed the format so it can't be believed.

Also, here's a 1 minute clip, that's a small part of what they said. Now, see? Notice what they didn't say (in that short, partial clip).

OK. I want full transparency... Including how much was spent on what, with details such as full name of the bureaucrat that approved the payment, and how they muddied transparency per what the payments were for. All in an online, easily query-able and linkable format.

Amazing, liberals upset Musk is doing more in 23 days for free what the left was elected to do decades ago.
I've been saying since earlier summer, I have no idea (just looks like pure insanity) what they are doing but...

When you see these do you argue with them?

The more the fight, it seems he’s getting warmer to finding what they are hiding. Almost a game of hot/cold. Seems he’s locked in and they know they are about to get tagged.
