The people who don't understand this already are people who just believe we can get more revenue by raising taxes, and I don't see how DOGE changes that perception by calling out waste. They'll still believe we can raise taxes and get what they want.
Also, @DC_Vol how will we see this effect manifest in congress? Are we gonna see a spending decline? Liberals in liberal districts gonna stop trying to get BS funding for the arts? I don't see it.
This is why we call most "libertarians" lolbertarians.Lol. Imagine self identifying as a Libertarian, but the one time in history when a chainsaw is being taken to the bloated and corrupt bureaucracy, your only comment is "Why are they being so public about it?". Ron Swanson and Ron Paul would be glued to their TVs and giggling like school girls. But Eeyore the "LIB"ertarian has found a way to bitch about it.
The public needs to become acclimated to the idea that the government is a money pit if given 1/100000000 of a chance and electing people that are openly and actively belligerent to that happening is a good thing. Battles can be had between apposing sides about what is "appropriate" spending but wasted tax dollars should not be tolerated by either side.As the public becomes more aware of the raw extent of wasted spending they have more support behind making regulatory change stick rather than immediately being reversed with the next administration.
They could tone it down some but there's value in continually reminding the public of the waste.

Why isn't there more transparency?I’m not following. Why not shine a bright light on egregious government waste?
The PR is to get the message out to the citizens. The citizens need to do their part and hold their elected officials accountable on spending.
I’m really perplexed at your position on this. It’s irrational.
Also why don't they have "clearances"?Why isn't there more transparency?
Also, why is there so much transparency?
Even more reason to show your work and say "these are the payments we're referring to" rather than relying on 'everyone in the public' to verify for themselves
Also, here's a 1 minute clip, that's a small part of what they said. Now, see? Notice what they didn't say (in that short, partial clip). Also why don't they have "clearances"?
Also why are they asking for "clearances"?
Also why don't they just break the rules and release all the information?
Also why are they breaking all the rules and precedent set by the government?
OK. I want full transparency... Including how much was spent on what, with details such as full name of the bureaucrat that approved the payment, and how they muddied transparency per what the payments were for. All in an online, easily query-able and linkable format.Maybe they will release that in an easy to search/read format. But then of course people will be complaining that they changed the format so it can't be believed.
The more the fight, it seems he’s getting warmer to finding what they are hiding. Almost a game of hot/cold. Seems he’s locked in and they know they are about to get tagged.I've been saying since earlier summer, I have no idea (just looks like pure insanity) what they are doing but...
The more the fight, the stronger he becomes.
