Department of Government Efficiency - DOGE

And most Trump supporters would also be cheering from a mountaintop if a democrat was elected and decided to take a chainsaw to the most corrupt institution we've heard of to date. I bet we might even see a certain fart sniffing "Lib"ertarian cheering it on. Alas, it was the orange man and Elon who started this particular fire, so it is bad unless and until we each receive evidence by way of certified mail proving the corruption of this particular institution.
At this point, if I saw an actual traditional JFK Democrat that took a blowtorch to the .gov, I probably would cheer. As we all witnessed since Soetoro though, the Democrat party got hijacked and turned into the whacko progressive model that it currently is. So the probability of a JFK Democrat emerging from the cesspool that the party has become is as likely as me flying the Space Shuttle.

Fundamentally Transform. He didn’t lie about that.

That lib on The Five just said what sense does Doge make if we are extending the tax cuts! Yea, like why should anyone give em more money when they are shown to waste it at a minimum. Not to mention that stupid Dem talking point that the Trump tax cuts are only for the wealthy.

id start with private contractors
That is a start, at least. I would note that if you get rid of private contractors, you end many “good” government programs.

Billions and billions of dollars are providing “government services” through contractors.

I-40 rebuild in NC? Contractors.
Defense department research? Contractors
Cancer research? Contractors
USAID actual humanitarian aid? Mostly contractors?

Most productive work of the government is done by private contractors. Be careful what you cut.

you ok with bid rigging? I don't want to cut all private contractors, I'm saying its a place rich with fraud. You could fire every government employee on the payroll and it would be a fraction of the bloat from questionable private contractor practiices.

As for non private stuff? Get rid of every single peogram that funds anything to do with transexual advocacy outside of any money spent on actually keeping those people safe from violence.

Fair start?

Criticize him all you want. I don't know of any Trump supporter that says otherwise. It's when you make up **** that it gets fun.

LOL, who ya foolin?

Ya'll might pretend to not like something but it's really so you don't think people believe you're a complete sociopath. Want to at least try and appear somewhat rational.

It boils your blood that I think he ought to be in a cell next to Joe. You know, because he's a convicted felon.

Most government agencies hire third parties to do the actual work. I’m all for cutting out contractors.

Trump owns you.

You would be supremely disappointed at how softly this landed. I'm actually pretty stoked about many of Trump's policies - border security, DOGE, getting rid of trannies in female sports, tax cuts, smacking around sanctuary cities to name a few. Doesn't mean I don't think he's not a complete self serving POS of a human.

No one here is a mind reader. There is a difference between “I’d start with private contractors” and “I’d start with investigating bid rigging from private contractors.”

And yes, I hope they will get into that as well.

I also agree that money spent to protect anyone from acts of violence is money well spent. It is one of the most important endeavors in which government can hope to be successful. I hope that money, spent legitimately, is spared.

I may be misunderstanding you here; I understand the contractors to be those “third parties” who do the work. Are you saying you would prefer that government hire more employees to do the work in place of the contractors?

there are government programs farmed out to the private sector to do **** like being a care giver to friends or family who are mentally or physically handicapped.

There are folks working for private companies sitting in desks in houston doing all the hr type ******** for what should be a much more streamlined process. Why do we have middlemen for something so simple?

That tranny comment was inappropriate buddy.

1. I was seeking clarity from DC related to his post.

2. Programs that provide loving caregivers for the mentally and physically handicapped are fantastic. Medicaid is going to pay someone to care for those poor souls, it may as well be someone who loves them. Many people give up other jobs to care for those people, and it saves tax money by not having to put the wards in much more expensive nursing home care.

3. Why aren’t we more efficient? That is a good question. I would refer your concern to the newly created Department of Government Efficiency. (DOGE), I understand they were created to address these types of concerns.
