Well, considering Galen wasn't on the team last year.......you're thinking, either of someone else or you're confused. He played 2 years ago, but there was a competition for a roster spot last year between him and Lopez. Lopez beat him out and Campbell wasn't able to be on the team last year. However, he is back on now

He's talking about Reese last year.

Reese could play if our bigs get in foul trouble later this season.
Doubt it.
He was the only player besides Lopez that didn't see the floor and hasn't in 3 games.
There's a reason for it, just too many speculating negatively on the why.

Remember how we thought this about Chievous (he was getting phased out, etc.) in the actual exhibitions? Reese may play against TSU and render the discussion moot.

Sounding like Q was in the dog house for the exhibition games that's why he didn't play.

Reese could be a fine role player. He was hurt last year, is still young, will get bigger, and is on a team loaded with skill.
That's all that really needs to be said.

REESE REPORT:
Reese injured his back when he fell during one of the exhibition games, which is why he hasn't been playing. Suck it haters

To be fair he's only a sophomore, and after McRae, Stokes, Maymon and Barton leave after this season, he will probably have a better shot next year to fit into the rotation.

The problem is none of those guys play the position that Reese would be the most natural fit for. Josh coming back, Davis and Moore will be better plus the guys coming in. He may actually have less of a chance next year.

With CJ and Cofer coming in I don't see his PT going up at all.

Martin values defense over everything else.

For a coach who values and preaches D so much, we play some pretty poor defense at times, particularly in the post. who on this staff works w/ the bigs?

Jon Harris, former Marquette post player.

This baffles me as well. Martin preaches 'D' and 'Toughness' more than anyone since Kevin O'Neill, but his teams show some glaring break downs on the defensive end at times.

Thanks for clearing that up Krager.
I like you, would at least like to see him get a chance to show what he can do.
Really think he can offer as much as any of the tweener back ups on defense at the 4.

It'll be a lot harder to play tough defense with the new rules (if the referees call it tight like the Xavier game).

In 1928 Hersey made the best candy in the world. It had peanut butter covered with chocolate. They couldn't come up with a name though. The basketball Gods came to Hersey and told them that there would be 2 greats that would change the game of basketball and change the world of marketing. Michael Jordan and Derek Reese they knew that Jordon would take over the shoe company so they wanted the other GOAT to take over the candy industry....and that fellas is where they got the name Reese's...true story
