DeSean Jackson posts anti-Semitic messages

Black racism doesn’t matter. The New York Times openly admitted that when they said they had not been discussing the uptick in hate crimes committed against Jews because it “didn’t fit the narrative” of evil white people

Well. And Southpark. I've never heard anyone disparage a Jew. Hell, I've never knowingly even met one.
Same here..... but I have found out that dudes I already knew were Jews. I’ve never understood the hatred of the Jewish..... I think I was in college before I found out what it meant to try and Jew someone down

I think one of my friends might be Jewish, but only because someone in passing said he "Wasnt White". No indicators by name or decorations in his house. I was expecting like the 12 candle holder things and those doilies they wear on their heads to be everywhere. Nothing.

This right here. Where’s all the players and media who were jumping on brees for saying he disagrees with kneeling during the anthem? (which is in no way racist btw) Now a black player attempts to quote hitler and Farrakhan in clearly racist intent and it’s crickets by the same players. I wonder why 😂

FWIW, the NYT covered this story.

Do you have a link to that quote?

So what part are you referencing? I'm not making the connection

Honestly, it’s probably because you didn’t read the article within 2 minutes. It’s decently long. But I can post a few screenshots from it

Lol at saying "honestly" when you guess at my behavior. I read it. The screenshot is a far fkn cry from supporting the statement that the NYT "openly admitted black racism doesn’t matter...." Maybe that's why I needed you to point it out? You even framed like they said that's why they weren't covering it, which is not at all what the author said.

They were very much saying the diverse background of assailants was why they had rarely covered the issue. Anyone reading between the lines knows what that means. Black anti semitism is a major issue the media refuses to address. The fact that Farrakhan was invited to speak to the black caucus is absolutely insane. It’s the equivalent of bringing Richard Spencer. But the media largely ignores it.

They essentially said, if this isn't getting covered [by all media] as much as you'd expect, it's probably in part because it doesn't fit a narrative

You essentially said, the NYT openly admitted that black racism doesn't matter to them.

Dude, it's not even close. You have an interesting quote here, but you're ruining it by completely misrepresenting it.

The narrative is white supremacy correct? Is that not admitting they cover examples of non white racism to a much lesser degree? Is that not what you read when they say it doesn’t fit their narrative?

If not, what do you believe they’re saying

That says a lot. And it doesn't say that a bunch of players agree with DJ's IG post. Far from it, in all likelihood. It just means they are really hesitant to criticize someone from "their side" of the fray, even if the thing they'd be criticizing is an anti-Semitic, deranged fake quote from Adolf Hitler.
Black people can say anything they want, no matter how outrageous and there are never any consequences. Yet a white guy says he stands for the flag and he is all but kicked out of the NFL. Our country may not be worth saving
Don't overplay it - Drew Brees is not "all but kicked out of the NFL." He took flak for it, which is people's prerogative to give to him. But their relative silence about DJ's posted quotes are interesting. In fact, the only comments from any athlete I've seen about this were messages of support (Stephen Jackson and Larry Johnson).

If the media wanted to, and you know they don't want to, there's enough there for them to write a bunch of think pieces regarding "Is there rampant anti-Semitism among black professional athletes?"

It's not really an admission at all. It's definitely not an admission that black racism doesn't matter to them. It's just an acknowledgment that this is probably a reason for it getting less attention (from everybody, not just NYT).

I asked for a link because you were making a completely outlandish claim, and red flags went up, so I had to see it for myself. You showed me, and it's not what you said. It's something far more reasonable. If you had accurately represented the article, I wouldn't have batted an eye.

So at a minimum we can agree they admitted to downplaying or covering black racism to a lesser extent?

I don't read where they actually admitted to that. In fact, it'd be better if they just outright admitted that.

I think they downplay or cover stories less that don't fit their narrative, and become indignant when accused of doing so. Which is disingenuous and actually worse that if they just admitted to it.

Downplay probably isn't the right word, but ignore to some degree, sure. I assume that this individual author is including the NYT when he said that the narrative probably has something to do with the amount of coverage. I'm not sure specifically that he only means "black racism". Maybe it's because of Muslim anti-semitism, too? It's a reasonable position.

Fair enough. I can agree I did overstate it
