Diamond Deshields officially to Tennessee

This girl was probably a top 10 player in the country last year as a freshman. Program changer right here. With the talent we have now, and the talent coming in this year and next, we should be really really good. If Holly cant get it done in the next couple years then there is a major problem! No more not playing hard or intense excuses. Get it done Holly and staff!

A strong post player would be nice. By the time DD is eligible to play, Russell and Graves (and Moore, for what's that worth) will be the only posts on the team. Jasmine Jones or DD will probably need to be ready to play high post if needed. If Russell gets in foul trouble or hurt, then they have nothing inside.

A nice, sturdy 6'3 player from the Class of 2015 would sure be a nice addition to this roster.

Have to think that Me Me Jackson must be rethinking her commit. She's better off going to another school if she wants to get some PT. Tennessee will be loaded at the wing for years to come with Nared, Tucker, Diamond and Dunbar on the roster.

MeMe seems pretty happy about both Te'a and Diamond coming here, she has already congratulated and welcomed them both to the Vols family. she's still excited about coming to Tennessee and looking forward to playing with them both.

It is very frustrating to even read such comments. Some people would be better off keeping their thoughts to themselves.

This is a great get, and all our girls will be better off for her commitment.

I really do believe that hadn't we not taking K. Davis commit so early she would have been in Orange last season.

Kaela being committed had no bearing on whether or not Diamond would have come. The main reason she didn't in the first place is because of Pat getting sick. She was miserable her entire season at UNC.

Had the roles been reversed and had Diamond committed early, Davis would never have come to UT. Not by her choice though. She was all for Tennessee.
