I beg to differ. As much as we're rivals to those schools I'm happy for both programs. Two teams from the SEC. A lot of people were saying the SEC isn't what it use to be but now look we've got two teams battling it out for the Championship.
Vic Schafer & Dawn Staley, both awesome and great people. Happy for them.

This will be us next year!!!!

First class people for sure. I expect our LV's will be in the mix next year as well. GLV

Everything about Diamond coming back-- and these talented FR we have coming in-- is positive. The LVs will have senior leadership, experienced starters and McD's AAs two-deep. Coaches and players have a lot of work to do, but the offseason is off to a pretty good start.

High hopes for sure. Does SC or State have big recruits coming in? I don't follow so much in that department.
I think we will be favored to win the SEC for sure!

I'm in a California but I've always wanted to go to Knoxville and attend a game. This might the the year I go!

Starting 5?

I know they say it's who finishes the game is what's important but it will be interesting to see what our starting 5 will be. We will have soo much more depth.
I can't say enough how freakin excited I am and how much I look forward to this upcoming year.
I wish everyone to stay healthy, stay healthy.

For sure:
Diamond
Mercedes
Jaime

Probably:
Te'a

No idea!
?Green? ?Evina?

And YES!!! On the bold:).

Id shake this team up day one. Something like no names on the jerseys or forget practice at Pratt. It's TBA and stairs. It worked for MsSt and the posted '60' point to Uconn.

I agree with our 'Big 3'
I also think Te'a will be starting.
Geez, just imagine Westbrook starting with this group! Green I haven't seen much of so I can't say.

Great news!! Cant wait for next season!! It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff utilizes all this talent. Will they press for the full 40 minutes?? Who starts and where. Also, the pressure will be off diamond to carry the scoring load, so i can see her having an all american type season.

They should have the depth to implement a press for 40 minutes if they decide to and if they stay healthy. Pressing guarantees PT for a lot of players and they should have the depth to do it.

Like small said, i think the big three are sure starters. I see westbrook starting at point. There are a lot of options for holly and staff. They should be much better on defense, and with all the depth i hope they press the entire game. That would be so fun to watch

The returning Big 3 will definitely start. Westbrook has said she expects to play PG next year. All of the FR sound like they expect to compete for PT right away. Hopefully, the competition will push the upperclassmen to work harder and lead to stronger, more consistent play all-around. It'll be interesting to see how Te'a factors in-- especially after a year off.

I would love to see it..i think a press makes for very exciting basketball action. The only problem with pressing is it can be a weakness for allowing open three point shots

No one really has. Pretty much an unknown plus coming back from an injury.

All 4 of the freshmen could see a lot of playing time. At least DD and MR will get a chance to breathe sometimes. I think even Jaime was getting run down at the end of the season. Should have a good bench overall and several with experience.

DD coming back really extends the capabilities and potential of the team.

GLV!

Did you swipe left? You can post multiple images on IG now. There were several images in her post. Just thought I'd mention that in case you weren't aware (fairly new feature) and wanted to read her entire announcement. It was very good - written from the heart.

Just discovered it! I'm not as social media savvy as I should be. Thanks though!

They also have the athletes to play a lot of transition. Run and gun is fun to watch as well. Our opponents better be in great shape.

Astute points. The upper classmen may start but the real difference maker may be how well the next five play in the end.

Very true. The big dropoff between the starters and the bench really hurt the LVs this year. The lack of bench points contributed to several bad losses. Even if it takes time for the FR to adjust to the college game, production off the bench should be an asset.

I am very happy for South Carolina and especially Mississippi State. The SEC is still the best conference in the Nation despite Tennessee not being in the top 3 for the last 2 seasons.

With Diamond, Mercedes and all the new faces next season we should be contenders again.

GOLadyVols!:)

So happy she is back. Now Holly will have some big decision to make. Only 200 minutes, who will get them?
