I'm sure you would have loved a swift announcement of his firing and that TN moved on.. but every newspaper in the state, espn, foxsports, cbssports, are now posting articles about the thousands of TN fans rallying for their coach.

Local news channels are covering the rallys and people are seeing the support for Pearl. Will it make a difference? Probably not... but it doesn't discount the fact that not everyone shares your opinion of Bruce Pearl.

Need a ladder to get off of your horse? Everyone know that there are people that like Pearl. It's pointless though because he is being let go no matter how long it drags on. He is done on Tuesday.

LOL No, It's late and I'm not totally coherent. I meant the AD, coach and media (and others) have all looked foolish in this process.

I was just joking and I agree. We've all probably looked stupid at some time in this process, and I'm certainly no exception.

can vitale call the ut president and recommend that he retain pearl? That minor recruiting violation is no big deal---all coaches do the same thing but don't get caught.

High horse? You're reaching. All Volstylexx is saying is that there are a significant amount of people who want Pearl to stay. That's all.

Because it takes at least a week's notice to find the G10 parking lot on a Sunday afternoon. Literally the non busiest time of the week for most people, and 100 or so showed up

This is fabulous press for BP. I wonder if the NCAA has already made up its mind, or if these remarks by Vitale and the wide support of UT fans for Pearl may yet be taken into consideration. He doesn't deserve the death penalty, and maybe the NCAA is beginning to realize that. And, Pearl fans don't belong in categories. There is only one kind of Pearl fan: a person who admires Pearl's passion, charisma and graciousness. With his personality he has done wonders for the Tennessee basketball program. And his teams overachieve at times. Who wants to let go of a coach who coaches teams which are consistent giantkillers, ex. the win over Kansas last year and the elite eight showing. Why do Pearl haters have such a difficult time understanding this about Pearl's personality?

The Pearl haters have never lied during their careers to take advantage of a customer, client or competitor. They are as innocent as the driven snow. Especially the ones with Law... in their handles. Old joke: "How do you know when a lawyer is lying...when he........"
