He's saying the gator world is focusing on basketball because football sucks for Florida right now. Because football sucks, basketball is all gator fans have to hang their hats on.

You're missing the point entirely. Billy Donovan has won multiple national championships yet most Florida fans still don't care about basketball.

The point was that Muschamp has done more for Florida basketball (getting Florida fans excited about basketball season) than Donovan has...get it?

That's funny regardless whether Muschamp has beaten my team in football or not.

Joker's tweets are embarrassingly entertaining...let's be honest. They're pretty awful.

As for Vitale, to suggest that UF fans care more about basketball after suffering the worst football season in 33 years, well it won't be the first time I've disagreed with Duke Vitale.

We cared about basketball when Meyer was winning football championships in the mid 2000s.

the fact that you feel so compelled to emphasize Florida beating Tennessee, as if we don't all know this, makes this even funnier. It shows just how butthurt you really are about all of this. It's a joke man, take it and let it be. Or continue to amuse us with how it bothers you. Both are entertaining in their own right.

None of us made the joke...or went to any extreme measure. Just read a post on VN and laughed.

Would have been funny if this was about any football school...but especially funny because of how much success UF has had at hoops.

UF basketball has had success long before Muschamp decided to ruin our football program.
