If you've driven past West Town Mall in the past few weeks, you've probably seen the new (enormous) Dick's Sporting Goods that's where Sears used to be. They have a 40 foot rock climbing wall, a batting cage, three Trackman golf simulators, a health/wellness area, and an outdoor playing field with a two-lane track around it. The outdoor field is turf made of recycled ocean plastic.
They will host events like kids' sports camps, yoga classes, fitness training sessions, adult sports leagues, etc.
To call it impressive would be an understatement! I think it will be a really cool thing for the community, and I figured some of you local guys would appreciate it.
Sounds really cool, I suggest you start a new thread for this. Good luck.I started a podcast for the House of Sport. It’s the first ever Dick’s Sporting Goods podcast, and it’s all about local sports in east TN.
I plan to have local experts on to talk about opportunities in the area. Everything from minor league pro sports, to youth sports, and even new ways for adults to participate in organized sports leagues.
Please let me know if you have any ideas of people to have on the show. Episode one was Tyler Ivens from The Sports Animal. Episode two will be on youth track, with KYA on the show as well as someone from D1 Sports.
Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

I have two suggestions.
1. Condredge Holloway
2. I was on the University of Tennessee Faculty Club Swim Team growing up.
This is the guy in charge now.

And you felt like it was just a store? You could have literally played an entire game of spike ball on the field before you bought it.Twice. Looking for a cooler first time then a spike ball game.
