That's what Leavitt said in a newspaper article I read today (can't find the link in the Commercial Appeal) responding to Sabans comments. He then went on to say that Saban's research people should get the facts right. And I also believe that the Bulls would kick the Bammer's asses.Didn't i also read that USF only has two players who couldn't play in the SEC? and only one of those starts? the big east is far from a joke, but i'd love see some actual evidence volmania... it'd be a first from you.

you constantly talk about the big east being a joke, but you never back it up with anything... i'm just asking you to back it up
i do think the big east is a joke. yes they have w. virginia who is pretty good, and we all know s. florida is good. but compared to the sec from top to bottom they are a joke.
s. florida's rb tried to get into bama for 2 years and couldn't. so no i'm not wrong.

I want evidence of the second attempt to go to bama. He failed academically once (2005) and went to Hargrave, where NUMEROUS UT players have gone to meet requirements. When he came out of Hargrave he attended a community college in the fall, then went to USF.
Mike Ford failed to qualify two different times at Alabama. I follow all Bama recruiting pretty closely. Chris Smelley wanted to come to Alabama but Mike Shula wouldn't offer him. He lived less than 3 miles from Bryant Denny and has been a life long Bama fan. Saban is just stating that USF has a recruiting advantage over SEC schools, he wasn't knocking Leavitt's coaching ability.
