Did Hubbs stick his neck out too far?

I have no reason, or source, to post this..however, I think the decision to let Dooley go was made after the MSU loss. I also think he was told of that decision, and was clearly trying really hard to come up with a bowl team to perhaps make him look better from the public perspective....I also think the meeting yesterday was to remind Dooley of his responsibility to finish the season continuing the professional job that he has done since his arrival....the man has done everything correctly, except win ballgames..he embraced the tradition, cleaned out the thugs, and has improved recruiting, and the type of people he has brought in....He just can't let go and allow players to play, and coaches to coach..he is controlling, but only wanted the best for all....I will be both happy, and sad to see him go...I just wander, If he'd given Lance Thompson a shot at DC, how would it have ended?

Interesting that Dooley said “We talked very frankly about it. He told me he had not made a decision, if we go 6-6, despite what all the reports are."

Makes it sound like maybe a losing season means Dooley is out for sure, but a .500 season leaves the decision less certain.

I caught that too. Strange that this place hasn't jumped all over that.

Unless I'm missing something, Dooley is saying that he's being told Hart hasn't made a decision yet. Hart is apparently conducting a search for a new coach, this from several reports. Not trying to stir anything up, but if the above is happening someone is lying about this situation.

If I'm looking at this wrong, I apologize in advance.
