Did I hear that right

Because NCState had 1 player test positive for Covid, did the ncaa pull all nonvaccinated players off the field? If true, that’s total ********.

I'm all for people being able to make their own health-related decisions.

However, the protocols could not be more clear. Are they too strict? Probably, but it's not like they're confusing. If after what happened to Jon Rahm at the Memorial any athlete still chooses not to get vaccinated, then he simply doesn't prioritize his chosen sport.

Yeah, God forbid a person make a decision for themselves to not be a guinea pig for big pharma. Since these "vaccines" aren't approved by the FDA, I applaud the players for making their own decisions instead of being pressured into it.

Now, Vandy has their pitching staff on regular rest for the Championship series. WOW!

I guess that's their reward for having everyone vaccinated.

Just to demonstrate the absurdity of this, young people in that age group have less than a .1% chance of dying from COVID.

Clearly, they are trying to make an example out of them. Effectively saying “see, here’s what happens if you don’t get the vaccine, you might not win a championship”.

It'll be an effective message. I know of several SEC football programs that are making vaccines mandatory.

I've been vaccinated since January. Tested positive last week. Being vaccinated won't prevent you from getting COVID. Although, I will say that it drastically limits the severity.

Sucks for NC State. Especially since it helps Vandy.

Why did you get tested? Were you feeling bad?

Let’s just say that all those positive tests are legit. So what? They were tested because of a rule, not because they had symptoms. And the first 2 led to entire roster getting tested. Clearly it didn’t affect their play or their health. And it didn’t lead to the other team or the umps getting sick.

Extreme fatigue and shortness of breath were the 2 symptoms that hit me first, and are why I got tested. Taking a shower would make me want to go back to bed because it wore me out. Sinus congestion set in a day or two later, along with loss of taste and smell. Taste and smell are slowly coming back. Symptoms started on the 17th. My energy level was back within a few days. I feel good now.

Dang man. Sorry to hear that. Glad you’re starting to do better though. Do they think that you have the Delta variant or some sort of other strain ?

Thanks, man. They aren't sure. They assume it's some sort of variant. If the vaccine didn't work on me, then I'm sure I would have gotten it a long time ago. I think it did help to squash the intensity of the symptoms. So it's definitely worth getting. I work in healthcare, so I could have gotten it anywhere.

It’s not just about yourself though. People refusing to get vaccinated are the reason why we haven’t been able to reach herd immunity in this country. Therefore, the virus will continue to spread and mutate throughout the unvaccinated population. Eventually after enough mutations, the vaccine may no longer be effective. So refusing to get the vaccination is a very selfish act.
