Think about that for a few seconds. How could it be a crime to destroy records that he's not required to make in the first place? Does it matter what format - if any - is used for meeting minutes? Is there a requirement that the president record, maintain, and divulge meeting minutes? Apparently a president doesn't even have to log and/or divulge the name of visitors. Is it a meeting if it's with Boris but not with Monica?

If a president has access to and discusses the most classified information, then how exactly would you treat the distribution of tapes made at that time?

The political climate - much of it directly attributable to congress is responsible for the farcical episode that put Trump in the WH. As much as I believe Trump is a fool, he was the better of the choices; and congress (and the courts) do not by any means constitute the adults in the room.

What the heck?! CNN starts the article as though it is negative for Trump that Putin makes this offer, but then buries this in the article.

Putin denied that Trump had shared intelligence in the meeting, describing the media reports on the issue as "political schizophrenia."

It sounds to me that it takes a huge amount of pressure off of Trump. Everyone involved in the meeting has said the reports are false. Putin offers evidence that the reports are false, but CNN somehow leads the story that it's a net (or potential) negative for Trump?

And you guys are talking about the media regaining public trust?
