It's an administration that was and still is woefully unprepared to hold the office. The IC hates them too, which doesn't help things.

You know, it's hard to take people seriously when they claim everything Trump does is an impeachable offense. Trump is a doofus but nothing he has done is what I would consider a "high crime."

Goes to show the danger in running as an outsider in your own party. It's the same sort of thing that caused Jimmy Carter problems.

I wasn't alive for Carter but I have heard that comparison thrown around so much up here. Great ideas, terrible execution, woefully ineffective.

You replied that that's not the info you were talking about, as the info you posted was about to be leaked. (As if the fact that it's about to be leaked proves that it's not the info you were initially talking about--even though you said initially that the info that would verify the WaPo would probably be leaked today and we wouldn't believe it due to unnamed sources).

You have to wonder about the motivation of the leak. Clearly it's "get Trump" motivated which is problematic to begin with but is this information the public needs to know? It's probably not a good idea to discuss the intelligence that was revealed publicly and the story itself will likely cause intel problems.

None of this excuses Trump's actions but clearly the leakers and the media feel "can you believe what Trump just did" justifies releasing anything and everything. The reality show Presidency.

Its a concerted effort. Just look at the CBS webpage, 15 articles on the same subject. They stopped reporting international news its 100% Trump 24-7 now. The press is a powerful weapon that is no longer protecting us, they want to control us. Doing a good job with the liberals dangling on every word. No one else is fooled. Keep it up, maybe this time you will get him.

My question is where was all this the last eight years? Lots of in depth reporting on what rappers and celebrities had been invited to the White House or who Michele got her dresses from. But suddenly they're all Woodward and Bernstein. They puff their chests out about the fourth estate protecting our democracy against Trump and expect us to forget how much of a pass Obama got on everything.

Very rarely but there are definitely instances of compensation for info. Not always monetarily but other perks, items of interest. Generally you don't receive anything until your story checks out.
