From the Iraqi reporter? He still has those catlike reflexes from his flying days.

If he were a true athlete, the second one would have been sent back with some heat on it.

I think this is further evidence that Iraq's economy as well as the lives of Iraqis are getting better. Id doubt many of them would have had shoes to throw before the war.

he was showboating, like boxers do when they put down their gloves and stick their face out and dodge the other guys punches, and don't punch back

The only thing that would have made the video better would be if Bush took off his shoe and tried to hit him.

Pretty accurate throw - I wonder how much eligibility that reporter has left.

CLK may want to book a trip to Iraq.

Bush did show some cagey moves there, good for him.

SS should have immediately popped a few in that guy. Surprised they didn't.

this same reporter was once the victim of an apparent kidnapping by militants last year.

Reuters AlertNet - Kidnapped Iraqi reporter freed, says no ransom paid

Muntazer al-Zaidi, a correspondent for the independent al- Baghdadiya television station, said he spent more than two days blindfolded, barely eating and drinking, after armed men forced him into a car as he walked to work on Friday morning in the bustling Bab al-Sharji area of central Baghdad.

"My release is a miracle. I couldn't believe I was still alive," Zaidi, 28, told Reuters by telephone.

I was amazed how Bush just stood there and let him throw the second one like it was some kind of game.

apparently being hit with a shoe is a gesture of insult by Muslims. Here in America it means you were on Jerry Springer.

showing the soles of your feet and shaking hands with your left hand are also considered insults in Islamic countries. If you're invited over for dinner, you can come almost as early as you want, but it's custom to leave shortly after the meal is over.
