I know that they're are bigger issues than this and we have so much more to worry about. I also realize that being in Tennessee and knowing most of the people on here are from Tennessee and republican, the poll could be skewed a little but i just gotta know one thing.

How many of you thought Bush was a good president?

I don't wanna get in a political debate on this thread so this is all I'm posting. I just need to know the ratio of people that thought he was good and people that thought he was bad. So please vote on the poll.v/b

W. was not as bad as the media would have us believe but he was not very good either.

History will show that Bush was a good, or at least effective, President. Unlike the current buffoon, Bush presented himself as the leader of the free world. Obama wants to be the world's best drinking buddy.

I never said, or claimed that Bush was an effective public speaker.

Your boy Obama is lost without a teleprompter. So before you go posting youtube links to Bush's many gaffes, you might want to also look into Obama's.

Bush was a train wreck. No fiscal responsibility whatsoever. He's like his successor in that regard. Bush was so bad that federalized healthcare has become a real possibility.

The media hammers the guy over foreign policy, but it was his strength. Our pacifist, enlightened media just can't stand the fact that the world is populated by greedy, self interested folks in power andcthat leadership on that stage requires some bravado.

Bush was also a victim of a supportive congress. For Washington to be effective, we need gridlock to some degree. Most of our fiscal responsibility comes via no votes in congress. Bush had none.

Finally, as bad as Bush was, Gore and Kerry would have been unfathomably worse.

I think we was good, not great. I really liked his foreign policy and socially conservative values. I hated his fiscal policies (except the tax cuts) and his acceptance of illegal immigration.

Oh by all means show me something that made obama look stupid in front of the public even close to what bush did in his terms as president.

Stimulus Package and Middle East Apology Tour.

The dumbest thing I have ever heard from a president is "bottom up economics." There's nothing close.

No those are things you disagree with. I want to see something that he has done that makes him look unintelligent. Politics are politics im sure alot people agree with the stimulus and eastern tour.you don't, hell i don't but i am glad to have a president that thinks things through, listens to other people, and when the whole world is watching doesn't embarrass himself when he speaks. it's yet to be seen if his policies will work or not.

Pretending the stimus package was a stimulant and the "bottom up economics" are both stupid. It has nothing to do with my opinion. The stimulus was never intended to be used as such and bottom up economics does not exist for longer than about 2 years.

Again those are you opinions. You know what's really sad though is that a president, republican/democrat. black, white, or green would have to inherit this mess and spend the next four years having to sort it all out. I honestly feel bad for the guy as he will get blamed everyday that we suffer through this depression when in actuality no matter who was elected this was going to happen.

The POTUS should never bow to anyone, he can show respect without bowing

what are we living in the stone ages know. he bows who cares. I don't think any world leader saw that and though America is weak their leader is bowing. We aren't in the 1500's any more dude chill out.

You are aware that he was in the Senate since 2006 and voted for everyone of the bad fiscal policies that helped get us in this mess right?

I am pretty sure the rest of the world already realized we are weak before the bow.

Those are not my freaking opinions

The stimulus sale was at best a lie, at worst a lie and stupidity. In the middle, utter stupidity. If you'd look around you would understand that the stimulus package was a piece of trash littered with earmarks, amended bank bailouts and long term infrastructure spending. None of that does what he sold it as. If he knew that, he was lying. If he didn't, he's an idiot.

Bottom up economics cannot work. Go through the setup. Do you actually know any macroecon? Economics is convoluted, but it isn't magic. It can't be twisted to do the impossible, regardless of how badl you want the man not to be an inexperienced and incapable buffoon.

The only reason the idiot was elected is because people viewed the situation as so dire and misplaced the reasons for our economic swoon. Otherwise, the empty aut never gets a vote, save the loony pacifist wing.

Yeah and i also understand how that voting works. It's a crock. half the time these politicians don't know what they're voting for or on and definitely not what affect it is going to have. Major issues that cause a public outcry like health-care are carefully dissected other than that when it comes to 99% of the crap that gets voted on, i bet if you asked any politician, any, they couldn't tell you off the top of their head what they voted for and why. I'm not going to eat obamas lunch for that nor would i McCains or any republicans. Just bad government structure.
