You have to look at both replays to get an idea. The replay from the broadcast leaves the viewer wondering wether or not Pig had control of the ball in his left hand. This video (IMO) shows that he did have control which influences how you view the first replay. Give it a go with fresh eyes. Here's a gif of the side angle.

Its raining douches!
Sorry pal I thought u meant he fumbled all I'm saying the ref on the field said he scored should have been 6
I might have been clearer. My view, he had possession of the ball in his left hand and crossed the plane with possession. The ball was then jarred loose by the lateral shock to his body otherwise the ground would have knocked in loose in the endzone. TD.
Says the guy who spends his posts bashing AJ Johnson.
Just FYI, I said that he didn't need to extend with his left hand, because he would would've scored maintaining possession with both hands, and then we wouldn't have 5 threads about it. If you don't like people having opinions different from you, then hit the ignore button.
hey saying a player is not making plays is one thing but going against the vols on a call that could go either way is down right blashphemy douche which is your new name from me. u will always be referred as douche
1) The call on the field was touchdown.
2) He clearly fumbles the ball before landing.
3) He removes his right hand from the ball in an attempt to extend for the goal line with the ball in his left hand. He possesses the ball with his left hand for a brief time before losing possession. Granted, It was not a very secure possession, but it is possible to possess a ball with one hand in this nature. The ball shows no signs of spinning or being out of control until around the time it crosses the goa line.
Had it been ruled a touchback on the field, there is no way one can conclusively rule otherwise. However it was ruled a touchdown on the field and I have seen no conclusive evidence that it was not a touchdown.
I've watched it a dozen times, both angles.
And I can't tell. I believe it was a fumble, but the more replays I watch, I believe it's possible that he did have control up until the instant the ball broke the plane of the goal.
But stated another way, it's a fumble. Whether he conclusively did or didn't possess the ball long enough. It's a fumble because the referees said that it was.
Looks to me like he had possession of the ball with his left hand when it broke the goal line. I know the CBS replay did not look that way, but you couldn't see his left hand on that camera. One of the commentators even made that observation before the decision. I think he scored. The zebra on the field said he scored. Repeat, you could NOT see his left hand on the replay, and that was the hand holding the ball.
