Dilione a one and done? ESPN thinks so

Freddie has a set of attributes that are very different than any of the last few classes. He has the court vision of Chandler, athleticism that is special, and a an ability to drive and push offensive sets like Bone. What makes him different is his real deal ability to score at all three levels. He’s a shooter. He has an incredible first step, and crossover, and he can take a good defender all the way in. His limitation right now is his frame. He’s a very good defender, and an uncanny shot blocker outside. He doesn’t have a durable body that holds weight yet. Obviously there are examples (Morant etc) of light frames that hold up by avoiding blunt contact, but it’ll be interesting to see how he weathers heavy minutes in a tough conference. He’s been practicing against ZZ, Mashack, JJJ and Santi every day. It’s not like he’s running against slouches on D. He should be ready. If he has a good year, and avoids injury, going in the first round isn’t out of the question at all.

Don’t you do this to me. Don’t make me get all excited.

I’ve had my fill of the Volquest guys hyping up players in Football with their practice reports. And those players barely ever make an impact.

Ok, ok. I take it back. I promise not to do it again.

We should hope that Dilione is one-and-done, that kind of impact on a team with strong senior leadership and a good amount of talent would basically guarantee another great season.
I’d generally agree, but don’t know that we can say that Phillips had that sort of impact this year. ?Same can be said about cam Whitmore from nova. They had some good splashes for sure. I think more and more the nba has their metrics and they are going to draft towards that if they have a great season or not.

For that to happen Barnes has to allow him to play through early mistakes. Yanking him on a mistake each time isn't always good for really good players. Some guys realize the mistake and can work through it.

Ok coach

If you don't mind sharing with us plebians, is there any commentary with the ranking?
His name is a hyperlink, but brings up "page not found" when clicked. They hate us.

Edit: They fixed it. Just a generic player profile. Recruiting rankings and measurables.

Hope so, but let's wait and see how he looks when the bullets of the SEC wars are flying. Practice is one thing. The SEC night in and night out is quite another.

This seems like very unrealistic expectations. Didn't he tryout for the U19 team that Awaka made? For Freddie to really be that high you would think he would've made the team too.
