Disney +

From the article....

"Disney+ is not expected to make a profit until 2024 or 2025. Disney reportedly wants to focus on making streaming profitable as soon as possible. It is starting to look like to do this, Disney may cut back on the amount of original content they make and raise the price of Disney+.

The question now is when will Disney+ price go up and by how much.

Disney is also looking at what to do with Hulu. Recently Bob Iger made it clear that all options are on the table with Hulu, including selling Hulu."

If they go up much I’m gonna cancel. I already rarely use Disney +, the marvel series have mostly sucked. In the past few months I’ve used it to watch the new black panther movie, which was not that good/nothing I’ll ever watch again and now mando. It’s hard to pay it every month when all the marvel series I got it for suck. Even the marvel movies are starting to suck honestly.

I'm holding out for secret invasion, hoping it's good. My personal opinion, I think infinity war was so good, they're never going to hit that emotional connection with the audience again any time soon. End game was good also, but not as good as infinity war. I've watched everything new, and can't think of any way they can connect all of this. I mean, I'm sure they will, but it doesn't have the same feeling of the original movies and characters when they first came out.

Agreed. I’m still excited for certain things like secret wars, fantastic 4, Spider-Man, more scarlet witch. But you’re spot on about the characters. The new line up of characters just doesn’t hit the same. And honestly I think marvel needs to stop going so hard on trying to be funny. All the serious/emotional moments get ruined with these bad attempts at jokes. Aunt mays death in no way home was handled great, it just was what it was. Then you have Thor in live and thunder which was basically a bad parody. Idk, hopefully some good movies still to come.

I think the only thing that might come close to the audience connection to the original Marvel films is when they introduce the X-Men.

Same, I basically only got it for when my nieces and nephew visited but they rarely watch it anymore.

I'll agree with this. They can make a huge impact if they don't go in the direction of trying to be too funny.

I agree that L&T went too far with the humor. I don’t think Wakanda Forever was overly humorous though. It was pretty emotional actually but also about 30 min too long. Have t seen Quantumania yet but negative reviews I read complained about lack of humor (along with over use of CGI).

Don’t get the hate on the shows. I still put WV and Loki up there with any Phase 1-3 projects. The rest have been varying degrees of ok to good. She Hulk being my least favorite but still ok.

If anything the MCU has an over saturation problem.

Wandavision was good overall. Loki was good, and I enjoyed Hawkeye for the most part. But ms marvel was terrible, falcon and winter soldier was bad, moon knight was ok at parts and bad in others, she hulk was crap. I don’t think black panther was overly humorous, it just wasn’t very good. I haven’t even seen ant man quantumania. My friends went, said it was bottom tier of marvel movies. I’ve personally gotten to the point I don’t even go to the theater to see the marvel movies now, I used to see them all opening day or weekend. I’m sure many others feel differently than I do, but that’s just me.

Agree. I stopped going myself. It's not been the same since End Game. I Just don't have the level of excitement since that movie.

I more excited about The Flash than anything Marvel has put out the last few years

They've gone woke and taken the characters from heroes to comedians. Or they'll kill 'em off and replace them with some socially acceptable joke of a character. No thanks.

all the right talks about is woke this and woke that.

people have alternative lifestyles, people are brown... it's exhausting to hear the constant bitc*ing. dont like it, move on.

i have three small kids. guess what they love marvel. it's bonding time for us.

everything dc touches turns to coal.

literally are relying on a two decades old director to carry their water. digitized blood and gore.

You have you admit those I listed were better than the last Thor movie and She hulk. I haven't heard much positive about The last Ant man either.

Marvel is in a little slump right now
Loki was one of the most inventive, and original pieces of non fiction ive seen in some time.

Sans the Purple Witch, Wandavision was excellent.

I liked 'What it?', subsequently would also like Spiderman & Dr Strange.

Im a fan of Taika. Was it the greatest Marvel movie ever? No, it was fun though. But didnt further the MCU.

Who would take She Hulk seriously?! It was silliness from get go. Was a lot of fun.

No, the DCU is a train wreck.

No, the DCU suck ass.

I enjoy both. Marvel has been better for the most part. Best of DC was the Animated Batman and Justice League back in 90's and early 2000's

I grew up on Spiderman and Fantastic Four Comics. Those were the Goat

I enjoyed Peacemaker, the last Suicide Squad and Black Adam. Lately, it's been better.

I'm not a DC fan outside of Batman, and prefer Marvel, but I really liked Peacemaker. Say what you want about John Cena, but he really made that show fun to watch. A big reason I keep a subscription to HBO MAX. I think I heard about a second season. If so, sign me up.

admittedly it was interesting. a bit much at times.

suicude squad is useless. Black Adam was, better..but compared to? To Justice League.

No wonder they hit reset.

There is going to be an Amanda Waller show that is like season 2.5 then S2 of Peacemaker. You are looking at about 2-3 more years before S2.
