A senior advisor to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign said Chinese dictator Mao Zedong was one of her “favorite political philosophers” during a speech to graduating high schoolers in 2009.

Anita Dunn, who was temporarily granted effective control of Biden’s campaign in February and now serves as a senior advisor, said Mao and Mother Teresa were “the two people that I turn to most” when she needs to encourage others to break from the mold and blaze their own trail in life.

The difference between 2009 and 2024 is this communist messenger is more mainstream in the democrat party. They are saying the quiet party out loud that decades of the progressive utopia leads to socialism then communism ideology.

Didn’t watch any of it last night, but every single msm article this morning is a total fluff piece, replete with outright cheerleading. R’s better figure out something for 2028 that’s better than what they’re doing now. If the D’s can consolidate power across the legislative branch and executive branch over this cycle and the midterms, then I see a scenario where the R party is just relegated to soundbites, no real pathway to winning much in the way of future elections as the Dems pile on with endless, unchallenged XOs, packing the SCOTUS, and a litany rubber stamped, hard left legislation completing the lurch toward a heavily socialist state.

She’s going to win bc Atlanta and other metropolitan areas will wait to see how many votes they need.

Never thought I would see the media get this bad. A few months ago this was the worst polling VP in the history of the nation now she’s the greatest. Can’t you tell how energized and invigorated these democrats are though by the crowds at the DNC?

You’ve got the media as a pure propaganda machine at this point. Hell I don’t even think most dems would argue against that. They were even arguing that the Musk/Trump interview “shouldn’t be allowed” bc of “misinformation”. When one party can weaponize the media, the DOJ, control the “truth”, control the law, you’re already headed that way.

Indeed. We don’t even have to listen all that closely to hear the Dems openly celebrating it, much less argue against it.

We are trying to follow their blueprints now, ballot harvesting, make people early vote to conserve resources, work at the poll sites etc hopefully we will see the fruits of it.. we have to be much smarter about it, their machine is too big and well oiled to do anything like we have in the past ie the traditional ways

They let Biden finally speak after everyone in America went to bed & who didn't get to hear all the yelling & hollering about Trump just like he usually does. Ho-hum. Biden is so dumb he didn't realize he was put on late at night so the party wouldn't be so damn embarrassed by what he had to say. What a hoot. Joy & Hope. Demonstrators outside raising hell calling Kamala the Killer. The democrats are so happy w/their Joy & Hope message to America. Gives everyone that warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Genius move to keep they embarrassment away from discerning eyes who had had enough joy and energy for one night.

It was the final indignity for their Mt.Rushmore giant as he was relegated to an afterthought before shuffling off this mortal coil to be whisked away to some far-off "vacation" spot. Joe got renditioned.

It was interesting watching the chief conspirators chanting "We love Joe" even as the blood still dripped from their long knives.

The celebration for Harris by the Democratic convention seems a little odd to me considering the current administration with the help of the party did everything they could to keep her out of the spotlight the last three years.

I will say they've done a good job of limiting her exposure.

The Trump campaign has done pretty well in a similar fashion.

I didn't stay up and watch either, my wife did. It was actually one of his better speeches.
