Do our players respect CCM?

I think they respect him but some may differ with his offensive game plan. We seem to be better when we push the ball I think CCM likes to play slower in a half court setting.

That's a question I've often asked myself: Why did Bruce Pearl fess up. Frank Haith never fessed up and he's still coaching. Calipari has never admitted to his serial violations and he's still coaching. There's no fairness in the equation.

They had pics on Bruce that he denied. Can't lie and ask others to lie right along with you. Love to see BP back on the sideline, but it will not be at UT.

After reading about how Stokes has to tell his PG's to run, players confused on what to do, etc...

I feel like maybe the whole problem with this team is that some of our players just don't believe or respect CCM.

Maybe CCM never has a CONSISTENT plan and he flip-flops want he wants, and after awhile our players just give up on what he tries to tell them.

Thoughts?? Have there been any mention on how our players absolutely love our coaches the way some of our football players do?

Who died and made Stokes the spokesman? I see guys fighting for their pecking order but I do not see Stokes leading by any means. He seem's confused on what to do most times himself.

Despite what fans think, players almost always want to play for their coach.

Good 'take'...but it begs the question, 'who do players play for'..I don't think its the university....or the state....or the fans really......more than likely the coach and each other...and I think this would be true regardless of how the coach is...

That's really the point I was driving at.

I wish he hadnt....I like some good trash talk....yes stokes we are going to dominate them.

The problem with that is he didn't. Usually when one talks trash, if it's going to be truly respected....you'd better come out and back that up with some arse. McRae went off and had a pro day on Arkansas. A LeBron or Kobe day. And he didn't have to talk any garbage before the game. Stokes had a bench day.

Yeah wish he had backed it up more....still like some good trash talking.
