As an analyst? What spot would you put him as? Help with recruiting? Help with what? Or no, we don’t need him. I would love to bring his experience to Knoxville for something? He is getting paid from A-M all of that money. Surely we could pay him something to help this coaching staff somewhere?

People close to him say he will be back soon. He has no offsetting language to his buyout so him working doesn't hurt him financially. I just don't know where he would be a good fit at.

He may take a year off however most coaches are the type that will go crazy or drive everyone else crazy if they have nothing to do.

He's 58 years old and has 75 million coming to him. Why work anywhere again?
i agree with this take but these guys are wired different. I would be surprised if he isn't on somebodys staff doing something. Don't know that i want him on our staff though..

don't see Heupel bringing in any coach that would try to dictate how he should use HIS offense, That ain't happening IMO

Jimbo might go to Bama in some position.

His story mirrors Saban. He has a Natty and a pretty high profile failure.

Nick retires, Jimbo takes over and doesn't have to worry that failing at Bama will "devastate his career" because he's sitting on generational wealth now.
