Do we know how good UGA will be?

So basically Dave predicts the East is going to be even worse this year than it was last year.

I'm also not entirely sure how well those predicted numbes can match up with schedules/games played...

Why can't those numbers be correct? I think Georgia loses to South Carolina,Alabama,Tennessee and Georgia Tech. I think Tennessee loses to Oklahoma,Florida,Alabama and Missouri. I think Missouri loses to Georgia,Miss State,Florida,BYU and Arkansas. I think Florida loses to ECU(In an upset)Ole Miss,LSU,Georgia and FSU. South Carolina I think loses to Missouri,LSU,Texas A&M,Tennessee,Florida and Clemson

While I deep down agree, I hope you're wrong.

I think at this point in their program the regular season ceiling for their program is 9 but I just get the feeling that they win 8. Richt will be on a very hot seat going into 2016.

The biggest question for them to me is qb. There run game is always gonna be good barring some freak thing. Defense always seems to give out on a game or two.

If you live in the middle of nothing but UGA fans, like I unfortunately do, then you know that they are going to win the National Championship and Chubb is going to win the Heisman.

They have to be the most delusional fan base I've been around. At what point do you realize that you're a Georgia fan and never living up to expectation is the norm?

I'm 44 minutes from Athens, I understand completely. Also, they're the most dominant program in CFB history! Don't forget that.

If UGA gets decent QB play they will be very good. They return 4 starters on their O-line, plus Chubb and Keith Marshall in the backfield, Malcolm Mitchell at wideout, QB is the only question mark. I'm sure they'll gag one that they shouldn't like they always do, but they will probably be picked to win the East next summer. People doubt Mark Richt and for good reason, but it took Bobby Bowden 17 years to win his first National Title.

Hopefully their defense continues having its issues.

I've felt their defense has been the biggest issue with underachieving. Dawg fans will argue me that its been Bobo all this time, and I disagree. Every team makes bad calls during the year, but their offense and even qb play has broke records over the past few years. I hope they miss Bobo badly, and their defense keeps blowing games.

Pruitt is a very good D coordinator. They will only get better.

That would mean the conference records for the East would be:

UGA 5-3 (beat UF, UK, MO, Vandy, Auburn)
UT 5-3 (beat UGA, USCe, UK, Vandy, Arky)
MO 4-4 (beat UT, USCe, UK, Vandy)
UF 5-3 (beat UT, Vandy, UK, USCe, MO)
USCe 3-5 (beat UGA, UK, Vandy)

UGA, UT, and UF would be in a 3-way tie, since each beat one of the other two but lost to the other.

The next SEC tiebreaker is record within the division. UT would be 4-2, UGA would be 4-2, and UF would be 5-1 (as its only loss in the East would be UGA).

So your 7-5 Florida would win the East, with the 8-4 UT and UGA being tied for second.

You can predict and assume and project all you want. On paper, it may be obvious what a team will hopefully do. What you can't predict is how the team will fare when it starts practicing in regards to injuries, conduct, living up to the hype, making the adjustments away from home, etc., etc. Two things get a team into the grand party at the end of the season. Survival and luck. Well you can add coaching. Too hard to predict.

living up to the hype is what scares me the most about next year for us

I mean no disrespect and I agree with your post but that's what makes the offseason fun for us hardcore fans. Every fan base is full of optimism right now. I love it and it's what makes college football so much fun.
