Do we need Florida or Candy to win tonight?

I predicted last week that Florida would go 1-2 in its last three of @ UGA, @ Vandy, and Kentucky.

So obviously what I meant to say was 0-3.

I believe this is correct. We never had much size and what we did have we lost.

We have to shoot the 3 well to be able to beat anyone since we can't rebound worth a damn. And playing in that f'd up Vandy gym just wreaks havoc on 3 pointers.

Exactly. If Florida beats Vandy our hopes of a 2 or 3 are shot, UNLESS Bama was to lose one as well.

So for rooting purposes, and for having our best chance at a 2/3 purposes, cheer for Vandy.

I'm still foaming out the mouth of how much we would of jumped in the RPI if we would have taken care of Bama. They clearly are getting to much credit though but it woulda been nice.

Plus 1. I'm still hoping Dolly Partin changes her mind and puts her theme park thingy right over top of memorial and we never have to look at that ugly gym again.

I'd take the bama game as a W over any other L we had. I feel our early bad losses
made us who we are. IMO though, we should have beat bama and IMO I think we do 7/10 times.

It was a huge missed opportunity.

Oh well, still alive.

It's crazy to think with less than a week left they can go from not having a bye or getting a 2 seed. I definitely am pulling for Vandy, I think it would look fantastic to technically finish ahead of 3 or 4 other teams that should make it from the conference. How many teams from a power conference have ever finished 2nd in the regular season and not danced?

Everyone keeps talking like Bama is a shoe in to be 10-6. They play their last game on the road at Ole Miss. That is not going to be an easy win by any stretch of the imagination.

Yep, we can finish anywhere from 2nd to 8th. We'll probably finish somewhere in between.

With all the drama from last season, a regime change, a complete change of philosophy in how we play and the roster that was left over, this has been as good of a season as we could have asked for really. I would like us to finish it on a good note with or without making the NCAA.

Game is almost over. UT is currently sitting at 92 on Rpiforcast.com. Be interesting to see which way it moves after Vandy gets done with Florida in 27.5 seconds.

Edit. For RPI watchers Florida is 18 and Vandy 23 right before end of game.

We are now at 93. Vandy is 21 and Forida 20 in RPI

Yeah, a game must have ended just before Florida and Vandy ended because it changed quickly. Just before the horn Florida was 19, Vandy was 23 and UT 91. The first update after the game has Florida at 20 Vandy at 21 and UT at 93.

Interesting to note that Arkansas is now only two spots ahead of us at 91 in RPI. Anyone know what they were at prior to the conclusion of this game?

A 4 way tie at 10-6 will give UT the 2nd seed. Because of the tie breaker rules for a four way tie.

UT would have the most wins against the other 3 (Bama,Vandy,UF) so they would be the 2nd seed.
