Do we need to recruit a JUCO QB?

You come across as an idiot on here. Qb play is the worst we have ever had and that includes the Rick Clausen years. Worley is a great young man and I wish him the best, but and SEC qb he isnt!

Might not be sec material. But he has improved. That's all I was trying to get across. From the second half of the Florida game and through the first half of USA. He played much improved. I'm not an idiot, I just choose to not forget how good he played at times instead of dwelling on the not so good.

Clearly, you've forgotten how terrible our offense was in 2008 under Crompton/Stephens. This year, it looks very similar to the 2008 offense, (but I'd say slightly better...people are REALLY forgetting how terrible the 2008 offense was). And realistic fans knew that coming into this season.

Because football is a game of two halves, it's not how you start, it's how you finish.

We won sure, but it was not due to the offense.

So the defense put up 31 points? C'mon man
If its a game of 2 halves then how come your not roasting the D? They didn't play the best football in the 2nd half.

20-36 204 yards 2 tds and 3 int. was it perfect. No. He did show improvement though. And the kinda stats your talking about would be for heisman candidates. I don't need Worley to win a heisman. I just need him to keep improving. Like he has been.

Let me get this straight. You think those stats are Heisman candidates? So throwing for 300 and 4 TDs against a team that has only had a football program for 5 years is something only for Heisman candidates? Please tell me that is a joke. Teddy Bridgewater would have thrown for 500 yards against USA.

I really don't see how you can see improvement. He still makes bad reads, bad throws and he still is throwing interceptions. I want him to improve. I want him to become the player he was expected to be out of high school. I just don't see it happening. Maybe he will shock me and become a decent QB and if he does that would be great.

He's not teddy and not many ppl are, and yes, wanting a QB to put 300 yrd games with 4 tds every game would be heisman stats. That's not hard to see. You'll have to go through the other posts to see why I said that.

I didn't say putting up those numbers every game, I am talking about against USA. You're saying he has improved based on today's poor performance. I mean 200 yards 2 TDs and 3 picks is not improvement against a pathetic team like USA. Now against USA had he thrown for 300 and 4 TDs (which he should have) that would have been improvement. Acting like the pathetic stats he put up against a pathetic team is improvement is ridiculous.

So if he throws for 200 with 2 TDs and another 3 picks, are you still going to consider that improvement? I hate to tell you but this game should have been one that Worley had great stats but he didn't. Worley should have torched USA.

He played worst against western Kentucky and USA beat them. He played much better against USA who again beat western Kentucky. That's improvement. How can you not see that. Not to mention he did ok against Florida when put into the game.

You apparently just don't see it. I hope you're right and Worley is improving but throwing for 200 yards, 2 TD's and 3 picks against USA cannot be used as an argument for improvement. I am out.

The truly frustrating part of Worley's int's, was that 2 of them were in/at the end zone. If he and the receivers complete those 2, the game may have had a whole different feel to it...IMO

So true. if pig at least gave a little more effort on them they might not have been picked.

I think Butch is waiting to get through the month of October before he puts one of the freshmen in .

You point out the not so good he did, but you quickly forget all the good stuff he did. He took to a 31-7 lead at the 1st half, did you not watch that part of the game? Did you forget that?

And if Worley doesn't throw into triple coverage and get intercepted at the end of the half, then the lead is even bigger.

Yeah we need a juco qb that can play like Cam Newton....go find him Butch.

They should work the freshmen in against Alabama and Georgia. Let them see what a real team is gonna look like. Most realistic people have chalked these up as losses anyway. Then recruit a Juco during the off season.
