Don't hate Auburn unless we are playing them.

Felt some sympathy for them because the BCS left them out of the championship game when USC vs. Texas (Vince Young) played.

I always thought that Auburn should have been in that game rather than USC vs. Texas....

Screw Auburn. I hope Mizzou destroys them and Florida State wins the title. At least then FSU would get an even bigger recruiting edge over the Gators and now Auburn has some momentum over Alabama and when they get blasted by Mizzou it won't matter because no one wants to live in Missouri.

As an older Vol fan when Tennessee used to play Auburn far more frequently, I did gain a great measure of dislike for them. To say I enjoy beating them is a gross understatement. On the other hand and for the most part, I haven't had as much reason to dislike that school as others because I seemed to always be able to get along with Auburn fans. Perhaps it is the intense dislike of bama that we share. These days, my feelings toward our rivals has everything to do with where Tennessee is in the standings, the personality of the coaches, and the attitude of the fan base. So, for me, the only way that other school in Tennessee even makes my radar screen is because of the arrogance and sassiness of their coach. While there are 13 SEC schools at the bottom of the barrel for me and I have no allegiance to anyone over any other one unless is has to do with Tennessee standings in the East (and I have been for bama to beat uf when it helped us), my personal dislike runs strongest for bama, uga, war eagle, and uf and the florida dislike comes from Spurrier having been there. In terms of the mizzou and war chicken game, with neither team having any bearing on Tennessee, I will go with Auburn. If Hang On Sloopy can't hang on to the Spartans, I'd prefer the more senior member of the SEC win the championship and have a chance to win NC #8 in a row. In my mind, mizzou hasn't been around long enough to deserve to win. Of course, I am still saying that about the chickens and little piggies, too.

I love Auburn. 2nd place to my Vols. My father graduated UT and got his masters at Auburn, so I grew up on both teams. But growing up in TN, the Vols are always number 1.

I truly only HATE Bama, Florida and Vandy (SEC). O yeah, and Oregon and OSU and Notre Dam and Lousiville and Texas and USC and Michigan and well, you get my point.

When I was in school I always found the Auburn fans to be some of the nicest people when they came to Knoxville for games.

On the other hand Alabama fans were always the loudest most disrespectful fans when they came to play.

Hate is a strong word but out of three games I have been to against Auburn, I have had bad experiences with Auburn fans.

They range from a drunk Auburn girl throwing up on about 6 people in our row to continued cussing in front of my 8 year old son (after asking them to stop) to spilling drinks full of booze on us to just being freaking annoying as heck. To be fair though, I have also met a few that were pretty cool.

I know everyone has the same type of fans but it seems like the majority from Auburn considering it has been the same at every game I have been to against them. I have had the same type experiences with Georgia fans too. I am all for a few drinks or cold beers while tailgating but to the point you are blowing chunks on the people sitting in front of you, that’s a little much.

I don't actually hate anyone.

But .... I 'love to hate' Alabama, ... but only in football ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

My cousins in Bammer have been making the 3rd Sat in Oct unbearable.

I hate them when we play them. Other than that, I don't really think about them.

This has always kinda stuck with me though:

Indifferent to them as a team like the rest of the SEC. Their fans I've met are pretty okay people and worlds better than most others.

Just watching a college game not involving the Vols, I prefer to see certain teams beat others. Glad to see Auburn, LSU and Georgia take out non-conference opponents and thrilled when anyone dusts Florida or Bama.

Anyone ever cheer for Notre Dame? :D

Feel the same way. Same list though I might put Vandy up top.... Don't hate Auburn but I don't want them winning a natty. Any team, especially from the SEC, is a recruiting rival.
