Dobbs has zero poise

Dobbs had opportunities to run when the protection broke down but he looked squirrelly. Even when he made the one good scramble he ran around in a circle like Curly from the Three Stooges as Matt Millen put it.

So, they have magically just not been in position every game the past 4 weeks?

Magically? I don't think there's any magic to it. You seeing receivers running wide open in the secondary? I don't. And I though last night was Dobbs' worst effort. He also lost North.

I'm just not putting everything on Dobbs when he has no receivers and got very little protection. Your free to solely blame our offensive woes on the struggles of a true freshman if you want. I think it goes deeper.

He made some good runs. The sack on our goal line hurt though.

You actually saw pass protection last night? I saw guys missing blocks all night last night. Sorry but "something is rotten in the state of Denmark." Sam Pittman did more with this same O-Line last year than Don Mahoney has done this year.

I know different schemes require a different style of blocking, but no scheme requires you to move slowly, miss your blocks, and watch a defensive lineman wrap up your running back or close the corners on your QB. Atrocious performance!

We need to get Pittman back ASAP. He was a genius. After a year in Hog purgatory, I'd bet he would jump at the chance to get back to Kville.

WRs are just as good as the QB getting them the ball. Dobbs makes Worley look like an All-American.

I recall a very well thrown deep ball that went right through Josh Smith's hands and hit him in the face. If he catches that we possibly score on that drive and this is a non issue.

Dobbs looked bad last night but some of that was pay calling. With the loss of north and Dobbs two ints they were scared to death to let him throw anything but a screen or hitch to Neal.

I have been a Dobbs guy all along but the kid has been through a rough stretch facing all to ten teams until last night. I would definitely think the job is Riley's for the taking. If he is not the answer or Dobbs doesn't improve greatly we are in trouble again next year.

Yes that was awful. It looked like had he stepped up he could have taken off, but he started spinning and retreating.

If you watch that play, he could have easily ran through the huge gap between the guard and take and picked up that three yards for a first. He choose to go backward instead of getting an easy three yards. Terrrrrrrible.

In fairness I'm not sure how well thrown that ball was as much as the defender mistimed his jump.

I'm not seeing it. He is falling into the category all too familiar with former UT qbs. Okay just may not be SEC qb material.

You really think that the best coaching staff in America might be able to coach him up to OK in the next 3 years? Bowl game in 2016?

That ball was actually well underthrown.

Even if it was just miss timed jump the ball goes right through Smith's hands and hits him in the face. If he didnt have an face mask it would have broken his nose. No excuse not to catch that ball.

Also I know it was a very slim chance but the hail mary also touched Smith's hands. Would have been nice to have someone with some great hands to grab that and destroy vandy s celebration. Again I know the hail mary is a gimmick play but would have been awsome.

No doubt. It absolutely 100% should have been caught.

The thing about Dobbs that drives me crazy is he will make throws where it looks like a fith grader has a stronger arm. Then he will uncork a bullet that makes you say where did that come from? O-line is the biggest let down by far.

Dobbs won't be starting next year, so it's going to come down to Worley or Ferguson. I suspect Peterman will leave and Dobbs may as well. He'd actually be better in a smaller program but not the SEC.

Don't assume that Riley stays. From the outside looking in, I think I see a staff, primarily Butch and Bajakian, who cannot develop a QB to play in the SEC. Then throw in how awful our WRs have played from Day One and how they continue to not progress.

Then look at how both Peterman (absolute disaster) and Dobbs (from promising to absolute disaster in 3 short weeks) have "progressed"..... he might do well to look at better opportunities elsewhere. I'm hoping this wont happen cause we don't have good options at the most important position otherwise. We desperately need Riley to step up and be the man next year.

Unfortunately, despite a dozen or so drops, Butch continues to profess that Smith has the best hands on the team. God help us.

Dobbs' confidence was shattered when his go to guy North was lost to injury.
Bakajan had no back up plan for the scenario and panicked when Dobbs showed signs of being affected.
Surely run and flair weren't his back up plans.

When you're best receiver is replaced with Jacob Carter, I'm not sure anyone is going to come out looking like a genius. Regardless, you're right, our offensive game plan left a lot to be desired at times.

If Worley wants to play he'll transfer to an FCS school. He's played his last down at UT!

Dobbs does not have a lot of playmakers around him right now and it is hard for a freshman quarterback to win games by himself in the SEC.

I'm not sure how you can post this so matter-of-factly. Based on what we've seen on the field, he's the best quarterback on the roster.

Worley was coming along nicely before the injury. Played well against GA and SC. That was the high point of the season. Injury came 1st half of the next game against the Bammers. There should be no debate.

People keep forgetting all the great freshman they think they're seeing aren't freshman but red shirts. Manziel = Redshirt. FSU QB - Red shirt. Even the backups that PT = red shirts. Talent can overcome only so much on its own which why when you see true frosh playing it's because there's no other option. And as far as the most recent true frosh - he's throwing the same INTs per game thus far as Bray and Bray was surrounded by Senior WRs and TE his freshman year (2 of which are in the pros). He also had a then-sophomore Zach Rogers.

We have nothing like that for Worley, Dobbs, Peterman, or Ferguson to throw too. Nothing.

If TN is supposedly running the spread offense why don't they run the spread offense? I don't know what they are trying to do. Reminds me of the Clawfense in 08. Horrible and painful to watch.
