Was Dobbs ever recruited to Cincinnati?

I didn't see anything that he was, so why did CBJ go after him at TN?

Nathan Peterman was recruited by Cincinnati.

This is all I need.

Thanks.

There wasn't much left and Riley wasn't their guy.
Watching the QB drills the other day, Petermen has the best footwork and most mobile. Dobbs looks like a baby deer at times. His arm strength and accuracy are questionable.
Starting to question QB coaching. I see a lot of drills but I dont see much on the field correction or Instruction. Seems that the style they learned summer qb camp doesn't mesh.

you bring up a great point, watching some of the drills recently on some of the quick out passes, not one of our kids looked off the toss. If you are supposed to practice how you play even a mediocre DC & corners will pick up that tell and jump those routes for a pick 6.

You don't "look off" passes. You go through a progression.

So much for fan quarterbacks' coaching:
Under Bajakian, quarterback Zach Collaros became only the second passer in school history to reach the 6,000-yard and 50-touchdown milestone. He left Cincinnati with a 62% completion percentage, 6,278 yards passing, and 51 touchdowns

That's not how it works.

There could be dozens of reasons a guy isn't recruited at one place but pursued at another.

Dobbs is the most accurate qb on the roster. I don't know what y'all are talking about. He completed59.5% as a true freshman with no game below 57.9% vs all SEC teams and all ranked teams except UK. Worley's best game vs SEC teams was 55%. Some people just don't like Dobbs. They latched on to RF then Worley now Peterman. Just anyone butt Dobbs is who they want I guess. No matter game stats or how practice is going.

Collaros was only with Bajakian 2 years. He was already pretty good before Butch came along. Also, I'm pretty sure that conference sucked.

I'm just going by what I've heard, but other SEC coaches say that Dobbs needs to be more accurate. Volquest has been reporting that Peterman has been getting more reps with the first team than Dobbs. At this point, I don't really care who wins the position, as long as whoever wins plays consistent and helps the team win; whether it be Worley, Peterman, or Dobbs.

Peterman has a better deep ball and throws quicker IMO.

Peterman is either consistently BAD or GOOD.

Dobbs is just inconsistent.

The amount of incorrect info in this thread is insane. Do you guys research any points or do you just make your mind up and refuse to listen to any facts?

The drills you see them throwing are made for timing they're not made for "looking off passes".

It's early in camp these guys are trying to get on the same page as the receivers. Also the parts we see are the parts that are open to media. The rest of the practice where they have to go through actual playbook plays are not open to the media.

Dobbs has gotten way more first team reps so far. The stats show who is accurate. Dobbs never completed less than 57.9%. How is he not accurate? He has done ok in practice but had a few balls sail high. Worley is consistently under throwing and Peterman is way up and down and closer to Wegzyn than Worley/Dobbs when it comes to the reps taken.

You have no idea what's going on at practice other than a 2 minute vimeo of which about 45 seconds contains footage of our QBs throwing, so your assumptions are baseless.

They went after Dobbs because of Trent Dilfer is friends with CBJ, he ask about Ferg and what he was getting. Trent mention Dobbs was smart player and could possibly be a good fit.

I don't think you can question coaching until they get a QB in house they recruited

this just my opion, but the QB's and the receivers have been working together since Jan. and to a lesser extent,June.I would think that there timeing would be pretty well down pat.

I would agree. But I don't think that would stop you from continuing to work on it. Also it's a good drill to do without showing your hand in front of the media, in my opinion.

Perfection isn't accidental.

Peterman was 4-11 for 5 yds, 2 interceptions and a .7 passer rating vs Florida, his only ever playing time vs an SEC school. Hubbs said he was a complete non factor at QB in the Spring and he isn't exactly lighting it up so far this fall camp.

This is all I need.

Thanks.

1. Worley 2. Dobbs 3.5. Peterman
