Two of the greatest Qb's to play at Tennessee have wore this number Holloway and Casey Clausen. Ferguson is stuck wearing Erik Ainge's Number. While this really doesn't mean much it is interesting a to why dobbs suddenly switched numbers...

I don't understand why so many people be act like Casey Clausen wasn't any good.

Because his teams underachieved. It certainly wasn't all on Casey.

Not sure I'd put his name in a sentence next to Holloway's, but he was a great college QB.

Yes, Clausen deserves to be next to Holloway, Look at what Clausen has done, Without him we would still be trying to get a win in gainesville for the 1st time since the 1970's he brought us some of the last great memories we have, ainge brought us the one's after clausen and that was only 1 season were clausen brought us 3 seasons worth. 2002 was the worst of the 3 but still had some memorable games.

I remember being so frustrated with Casey Clausen that by the time Rick Clausen left, I was actually happy when Jimmy committed elsewhere.

I wouldn't categorize him as great.

Win the 2001 SEC championship against LSU and he would have been playing in the NC so yea he was pretty good. Damn you Matt Mauck!!!!!!!

I remember when we didn't get Jimmy Clausen there was people calling the sports animal saying they were glad they were sick of them and didn't want to ever see another Clausen at Tennessee.
