dump murray, take Milton next year. could you imagine Milton throwing in a dome all year ? Seriously , I hope Josh lights it up with this opportunity He's put in the time.
nonononono. I am glad Jd is getting his shot but I don't want another Vols QB going to cursed QB franchises.

in recent history (past 20 years) the worst QB fracnhises have been the Browns (by far), Jets, Dolphins, Titans and Cards. They chew through QBs careers. Browns and Jets are like all-time QB-killing franchises of all time. Now watch someone go pull up a QB from 40 years ago or the twilight years of a Hall of Famer to argue a point.

Hope Dobbs balls out.
No, it just that all 4 strings of WRs were just too good for him to get on the field. C'mon Heup been crootin'.

You mean like the Colts up until 1998? 😉

Cards would be foolish to rush Kyler back.

Honestly, Arizona is tanking this season. If they get the #1 pick, Murray is gone

Might be best to just wrap him in bubble wrap for the year and protect at least some trade value
no doubt. Caleb Williams sweepstakes has started. Play Dobbs until Kyler 100%...he's not been killing it anyway. Dobbs passes better anyway, IMO.

I'd be surprised if Murray ever played another down for them, I don't know what His contract situation is, but they'll trade Him. This is Dobbs "shot", McCoy is hot garbage, so barring injury, Dobbs is going to be thier starter for the year.... for the worst franchise in football. I don't expect much, through no fault of His own.
Murray signed a big extension in 2022 that is good until 2028. There's at least $150 million guaranteed money.

The Cards are going to have a tough time getting rid of Murray.

Whoa! Seriously??
I haven't followed the pros or had TV for 6-7 years now... I had no idea contracts were up to that level of insanity.

Are athletes really generating that kind of profits for advertisers today? Or did the league sign a "Herschel-to-Vikings" caliber TV contract?

(Makes me wish athletes' earnings--while taxed at the normal rate--could have 100% of those taxes diverted into Social Security. Might improve the demographics of pro sports viewership.)

Contracts are ridiculous but the Cards were just stupid with Murray. He's never going to be worth this kind of money to any team. He's eating their cap money like candy. They're a dumb franchise.

I'm happy to see Dobbs get a decent shot but I hope he gets out of AZ ASAP.

Historically the Colts have had good QB's in fact they more often than not, in my lifetime, have had at least a decent QB their run of bad QBs is recent. In fact any time they have spent a high draft pick on a QB it has mostly worked out. Now compare that to the Browns and Jets who have probably spent more draft picks in rounds 1-2 the last 20 years than any other team and had exactly 0 pan out. You can actually go back to the 80's and 90's and it still holds true. I truly feel bad when I see a QB get drafted by either of those teams. EVERY other team in the NFL has had a pro bowler at QB they developed since the 90's but them I think. For the Jets Favre(08) and Boomer(93) do not count they were both guys riding into the sunset. For the Browns it was Brian Sipe in 1980 (never heard of him but I was 6 at the time).

Hate to break it to you, but it's already that. Even if he plays well
Thanks Bernard. Even with you not wanting to break it to me, your sensitive and insecure spirit just wouldn't let the obvious be known and just required you to be the one to state it. Thank you so much for that dedication and sharing of your ability to state what everyone knows. 🥇

"Last week's trade for Joshua Dobbs provided further reason to believe that McCoy would not be the choice in Arizona.

Dobbs and fifth-round pick Clayton Tune now appear to be the top two quarterbacks on the depth chart."

If He does nothing more, Dobbs has secured his future with his salary and ------NFL check for life. You know He hasn't squandered any money. Good Job Josh Representing UT! Hope he lights it up too!

The ONE good thing butch did was to flip Dobbs from Arizona St.

Oh, c'mon man. I love Dobbs, but there are posters here who don't know any better and believe Dobbs just needs a " chance to show what he can do".

Rumor is that Murray will not play this year.
Will be listed on the PUP today.
That gives him 4 weeks to then be listed on the GameDay roster.
If not listed then, he's out the rest of the season by rule on IR.

Gotta think of the Cards weren't confident in him at least being able to suit up in a month they would just skip right to IR and seek out a trade or veteran deal.

If they couldn't get ride of Murray, at that point they would just have to keep paying Murray but sit him behind a rookie. $150 million over 6 seasons is about $18 million a year. Just think of it as paying the rookie and Murray $9 million each (since the rookie deal is 5 years). It would be the only way for a GM and owner to maintain their sanity on paying Murray.
