Does anyone else hope Arian Foster

Just goes away?

There are a lot of names I could call him but they would get deleted on this board. Hopefully UT disassociates themselves from this scum bag. Hope he never shows his ugly face in Knoxville again. Definitely not a VFL.

Foster isn't doing this to hurt UT. He's doing it because he thinks getting players paid is the right thing to do. He's ripping the NCAA not us.

I don't agree with him on several points but what he's doing is about the NCAA not us.

IIRC Arian wore a Rolex as big as a dinner plate to the volwalk one year. I wonder how many tacos that would buy if he hocked it?

He'll never convince me that he was starving. A full ride scholarship includes a dining plan. Maybe he didn't want meatloaf so he threw a pity-party and the coaches went and got him some tacos. I wonder how many he dropped just before getting them in his mouth?

Nope. Instead I wish every player in the NFL that received improper benefits would speak out. Time to stop the charade.

Absolutely. He didn't do anything that 99% of the players in the SEC aren't also doing. I'm glad he spoke out about it and I wish more players would as well. That anyone would call him "not a VFL" is laughable, and I'm sure it must weigh awful heavy on his heart as he tears it up in the NFL each week.

Thought the same thing.

I feel the same as you.
Anyone who is willing to sell out our university and team, is scum. Nothing less.
His reasoning is BS.

I get the point he's trying to get across but if he cares about UT he would have never mentioned accepting food or cash from a coach. He simply should have said he struggled to get by. With that said, its hard for me to feel sympathetic for someone who says they had no money to eat in college but could afford to get his arms covered in tattoos.

Alvin Harper had this to say "Alvin Harper
Yesterday via mobile "Will someone tell dumb a$$ Arian Foster to let sleeping dogs sleep. Don't kill the university over a few hundred dollars. Now you're gonna hurt the kids that are there now. You got your little money and you should be happy. Please don't Bring down the whole university over some dumb s@%t...." per alvin's facebook page... thought alvin didn't care about tennessee since his son was looking to play else where but i guess he does care.

My biggest question for Arian would be this. If you were so destitute here why didn't you take your 2nd to 3rd draft grade your junior and go get some money. Instead you come back for a senior year? With his speed he would have never improved to first round grade. He is being a drama queen about being broke.

His dad wasn't broke. Not even close. He was the General Manager at AmeriSuites in Brentwood (now The Hyatt Plaza). I worked at FedEx and delivered to him everyday. His office was filled with pics of Arian.

This is an attention thing.

I never once thought he was broke or like I said He couldn't afford not to take the money in the draft after his junior year.

I'm sick of fans that do this kinda crap. The guy was honest and said he got some food or something. This isn't even going to harm the Vols now because of statute of limitations.

I think most fans don't wish him any ill-will (at least most level headed ones). I think for me, I question what he has to gain from this. As I have posted several times, his dad had a good job and lived in this state. I find it very hard to believe that he was "forced to choose between food and rent".

He's just a flash in the pan. He'll disappear soon, just like Peyton Hillis. Worthless RB on a worthless team.

I am pissed at him too but this comment is stupid. He is a very good NFL back, he led the league in rushing a few years ago and the Texans are a good team.

So he admitted he got some free tacos, big deal. This a black eye for the NCAA way more than it is for Tennessee, especially right now.

I really just don't understand this line of thinking. Did the NCAA force these players to play college football? Did they not know the rules when they accepted the scholarship? Did they not have a choice to not play college sports and get a part-time job to make ends meat like the vast majority of college students?

I have a hard time feeling sorry for people who accept the terms of an agreement, reap the benefits of that agreement, break the agreement by cheating, and then calls the entire agreement corrupt once he's signed a multi-million dollar contract and will never be held to account. Give me a break.

If any of you think the NCAA investigates this.. Well I don't know what to tell you. AF and his legal team were very careful with the statute of limitations and the way he worded things so that UT would not get in trouble.

Foster needs to get a new legal team. According to the NCAA there is no statute of limitations when a pattern of willful violations continues into the past four years. Check with the U of Miami.

If he didn't have a free ride through one of the finest universities in the country, I might be fine with him taking money/benefits. The thing is, it was going to cost me some $30k+ a year for out of state tuition, room, and board. When it comes down to it, he was making more in benefits than most working class individuals do in a year.

I would vote that we pay the players, but revoke their scholarships. Give the players a choice, payment or scholarship.

I hope he loses to the Titans. Other than that he has no bearing on my life. With the exception of sucking it on my fantasy team.
