Does Hart have THE MAN waiting in wings?

I don't think we'll know anything until the end of the season even if Hart has someone already interested. I think he is gonna play this thing out at the end of the season.

The reason so Hart is so Quite, Due to fact DD at this point in time is better then what UT can get at this point in time. I refuse to believe that all these Elite Coaches begging to come here and coach. If that was true, How in the hell did we end up with Dooley?? Just stating the facts.

You need to just read instead of post for the time being. Try another post in the spring.

Agree, I was just thinking the same thing and saw this post.

I think the reason he is silent is because he knows all will be forgiven when we get the next guy. Its the only explanation I can think of for being silent as the ship sinks... again.

I think this is what I'm hoping.

Like I said earlier to the guy who said Gruden is coming and bringing Chief back... if that is the scenario Hart has set up, then I don't have to hear a goshdarn syllable until the announcement if that's the way it goes down.

But if he is waiting and Kirby Smart is our next coach, then Hart would do well to get U-Haul on his speed dial.

DD will be HC at UT in 2013. Our D will have a overhaul. Hart really likes DD and it would be cheaper for UT to Over haul D. You heard it first here.

Yeah.

He has someone with very strong Tennessee ties.
Was born in TN

played ball at UT

Coached at UT

was on the '98 NC staff

As OC won a game without a QB on the field

Your 2013 University of Tennessee Head Coach, former UT QB and OC Mr Randy Sanders.

This would be the last signal that the Apocalypse is truly nigh upon us.

Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria!

Just what we need, another Saban flunky. The Bama stinch would be intolerable.

I don't like it either but he was going in that direction before the boosters said hell no. I believe he is the fallback still but at least three people have to say no.

DD is a dead man walking, he has the look of someone getting ready to be strapped into the electric chair.

No elite coach is going to pull up roots at that time of year to work for an AD that is about to be fired?

You do realize the roster was depleted, we had a looming NCAA investigation, an AD on his way out the door, and the timing meant most desirable coaches, assistants and their families already were already moved and set up at other respective programs.

We had a lot going against us. UT may not be in the top three to five programs but we are still in the top twenty and any coach worth a damn would be happy to have an opportunity here. We deserve a lot better than a low rent coach like Dooley and it's time some of our bed wetting fans realize who we are.

The longer Hart waits, the less chance fans are going to like his decision. If we escape Vandy and get to a bowl, Dooley could return. I would have thought that impossible on Saturday night, but Hart's silence and Dooley's comments today support what I'm hearing from other donors-- Hart does not want to pay $9M in buyouts this year. Unbelievably, 6-6 and a bowl may be enough to extend the Dooley era another year.

You can't honestly believe that. Look at the home schedule next year and tell me how Hart sells those games. The two best games will likely be when we are irrelevant if Dooley is coaching. Hart would be lucky to average 80K a game for the home games if change isnt made. A 30K loss of people in just ticket sales is getting close to 10 million without considering the substantial impact on merchandise sales, consessions, etc. Then factor in the big money boosters cutting the AD off.

We're more likely to see Bear Bryant on the sidelines coaching UT than Derek Dooley next year.

Buck Fama. I would love it if Bama lost Nick Saban. That being said, they'd turn right around and find themselves another great coach to lean on. They do this because they're Alabama and we're not. I hate to say it, but that's a fact.

I would just settle for someone like Charlie Strong. The guy has built a strong program at Louisville and is going to probably win the Big East Championship this year and maybe finish the season in the top ten of the AP and ESPN/USA Today polls. The man was Florida's defensive coordinator and knows how to build strong defenses, and I think that with Tennessee's name recognition, he could rebuild the program pretty quickly.

I did a post search on you. You have been a Dooley supporter saying that Dooley will be back in 2013, but on the 10th you said you was done with Dooley and wanted him fired. Now you are back to the same old song and dance of Dooley coming back. At the same time of you protecting Dooley you blast coaches like Strong. I think you are full of it, and I am sick of true nega-vols like you posting such bs. You are part of the problem unlike the ones who want what is best for Tennessee football. I would put up a true ban bet that you are wrong. You game?

Also wouldn't surprise me if you are on the other side of the state line in Bristol and a VA Tech fan.
