That Hart would not have the power that he has now.. Gruden wants to be able to make his own decisions regarding assistant coaches, scheduling (non-conference)and all "football" related decisions. Basically the same thing Saban has at Bama. Hart and Cheek are not going to allow this to happen. Sit back and watch......
Maybe so, however, my point is I am not sure that "outsiders" have the same passion and understand the importance of Tennessee football as does someone that is from within the program with respect to the impact on the University, the city of Knoxville and even the state of TN.

Anyone ever stop and think that maybe the reason we dont have "Tennessee guys" in these positions in the first place is because Tennessee isnt turning out people who are the best at their respective positions?
Laugh all you want , however, word right now is Gruden won't be hired because Hart will not give him complete control of the football program. Talked to someone today that knows Hart and said he is a control freak. When Gruden isn't hired, come back and laugh then if you want to.
On one level I shake my head, but on another level I understand it. As bad as things have been the past 5 years, it's easy to want to find somebody to blame.

Saban was a proven winner in the SEC. Gruden is not. It would be stupid for Hart to give a guy like him complete control. Could turn out to be the worse idea ever!!! Give complete control over to a guy that has never coached in college??? Are you kidding me??? The guy doesn't know what he's doing in college and will need to go through recruiting 101. Heck there r people on here that know more about the ins and outs of CFB then Gruden and you want to give him complete control??? Then have the audacity to say that Hart is going to put the program back if he doesn't!?!? You sir are just ridic....
(and I'm the one that gets accused of being a troll that wants bring harm to UT for supporting Dooley...:crazy
