Does Nico play in Bowl game?

Heupel will give Joe all of the snaps. He wants to give Joe an opportunity to "wow" some scouts with his "arm". I know Joe has the senior bowl for that, but just know that Nico will not see the field unless it is a total blowout.

Milton did get a senior bowl invite, correct? That will give him all the exposure he wants as well as ample opportunity to "wow" the scouts. If I were a betting man, I would put my money on him not playing in this bowl game especially with Wright and Small opting out as I suspect they will. Fans will likely get a healthy dose of Nico vs Iowa. Tough spot for him getting his first start against that level of defense. Guess it's a preview of next season's schedule so it might be beneficial to have his baptism now.

What I want to know is when does the second portal window open? Not that I'm expecting Nico to get injured, but this is UT where bad chit does seem to happen way too often for it to be coincidental. So, should we be in dire need of a QB for next season, when can we try to find one in the portal? After spring ball or does that calendar make too much sense for the NCAA to put the next portal window there?

Nico may play some but if Joe doesn't opt out, Joe will be starting and he will be playing most of the game.

I think he should. It will give Nico his first start and a glimpse of what we see next year.
Milton got his bowl game last year and the trend is that most potential NFL players opt out to keep away from injuries. (especially if it’s a crappy bowl)
