I’m wondering if our offense scheme is too simplified for NFL teams and it doesn’t give a player the development they need for the next level. If that’s true, will TN recruitment take a downfall?

It doesn’t help but Heupel is still a young coach let’s not forget that he still needs to build his resume and prove to these NFL fools that it’s not the system and last year wasn’t a flash in the fan or one hit wonder.

Where were guys like hooker and Hyatt projected before heupel? If NFL teams think a player is talented enough and he produces he will get drafted high no matter the system they are in.

He was two bad calls away from winning 9 games his first year at Tennessee.

College game has changed so much over the years favoring the offense.

Why would that hurt recruiting? He wins games.

Isn’t that kind of the point?

Absolutely not. If you have NFL talent you can believe they will make it onto a roster. The whole simplified thing just isn't true.

I really don't think it hurts you at all. The most prominent drop is Hooker and I really do think people understand this is not a slight against him or UT. Just a very unfortunate set of circumstances. Hope Hooker still finds a path forward to the NFL, he's clearly a very nice and authentic guy.

Not for recruits. The point for them is to get drafted.. winning is nice. But that’s for the fans. They want to change their life’s trajectory

I think we’re fine, JH falling probably shouldn’t be a real surprise but I think he’s going to be a solid pro. If HH and Cedric don’t get injured I think they both go in round one, maybe Ced goes early two.

If people can’t see the success and potential they can unlock when they come to Tennessee to play for Coach Heupel, I can’t see much hope for them.
I really can’t.
I don’t know why teams haven’t picked these guys, but I have a hard time believing it’s because of the offense Tennessee runs.

Won’t hurt at all. Offensive players love to play in a system that showcases their talents. Hooker and Tillman had injuries that caused them to drop. As good as Hyatt was, he still has some things that need improvement.

You have to keep competing and vols have to keep winning for the NFL to start takin vols higher imo.
Still it’s awesome that these guys are getting drafted and I think all the vols are steals for their teams. GBO!!
