Nah. Noone expected Hooker to be drafted 2 years ago. Darnell Wright wasn't looking like a first round pick before Huepel. Tillman was not highly recruited. Hyatt was a 4 star but come out of nowhere at Tennessee. Byron Young was a three star.I’m wondering if our offense scheme is too simplified for NFL teams and it doesn’t give a player the development they need for the next level. If that’s true, will TN recruitment take a downfall?
No! Hooker, Hyatt, and Tillman were not on anyone draft boards last year or radar. Tillman was a 2* and Hyatt was a 3* I believe. Hooker would have went higher if not had been for his injury. How many players did Pruitt have drafted his last 2 years at UT? Pruitt is considered a great DC and developer of talent, but yet how many was drafted his last 2 years?I’m wondering if our offense scheme is too simplified for NFL teams and it doesn’t give a player the development they need for the next level. If that’s true, will TN recruitment take a downfall?
Hell naw.I’m wondering if our offense scheme is too simplified for NFL teams and it doesn’t give a player the development they need for the next level. If that’s true, will TN recruitment take a downfall?
He played good against Tennessee. But Hooker played better.Right?!?! Saban must’ve been in someone’s ear… In all seriousness, that kid took shot after shot against us and got back up every time, he’s tough, size be damned.
He only had 1 good year of tape.Won’t hurt at all. Offensive players love to play in a system that showcases their talents. Hooker and Tillman had injuries that caused them to drop. As good as Hyatt was, he still has some things that need improvement.
If having the best offense in college football were easy to replicate, everyone would be doing it. That’s why the “system” argument is ridiculous.I’m wondering if our offense scheme is too simplified for NFL teams and it doesn’t give a player the development they need for the next level. This helps recruiting 5 players in the first 3 rounds. This team was a dumpster fire two years ago. As Vol fans we have witnessed a football miracle. We have coaches that can develop players ask Jeremy Pruitt. Heupel put his players in the league. Blue chips recruits have already noticed.I’m wondering if our offense scheme is too simplified for NFL teams and it doesn’t give a player the development they need for the next level.
