Hope he's okay. Wife's sister was keeping Koda because of her treatment, and daughter is going on a trip with her friends family. They had to go get him today, and go to the vet. Obviously he's eaten something he shouldn't, pretty lethargic still. They did some tests, and gave him meds.Had to rush Romeo to the Veterinarian emergency room this afternoon. He is still there.
He ate a dozen Ghirardelli Dark Chocolates.
They are inducing vomiting.
Thank you, Joe. They do seem to find things that appear delicious but is not good for them.Hope he's okay. At least he's eating?Thank you…very scary.
Still finding wrappers. He looks out of it right now. I just fed him a little chicken and some brown rice.

Poor guy. He'll bounce back soon I bet. Then he'll be like a meth addict... He knows that sh*t is bad for him and MIGHT kill him, but dang was it good for a while...Ravenously. He has to be on a bland diet for a couple of days. Also needs to start on Pepcid tomorrow as they used Hydrogen Peroxide to induce vomiting.
Her sister not a good cook?Koda was no better this morning, actually worse. Wife took him to the vet, they said he has a blockage in his bowels, and are doing surgery. He apparently ate something he shouldn't have at her sister's house.
We just got an update. Apparently it wasn't the squirrel, he had some toy stuck 8n his bowels, and actually had pushed through part of it. They weren't completely finished, but said it's definitely going to be a slow recovery. Poor thing, he just eats stuff, he grabbed a frog one night while I had him outside. Gulped it down before I could even get no out.You been sneaking him your vegetables haven't you?
Seriously though I hope he's OK.
Our big girl would grab a frog, snake, or whatever an swallow it whole. HBPW would go to the vet the next day and tell them she did it again. They would give her some sort of meds to counter whatever illnesses are common from eating that particular reptile. LolWe just got an update. LololLuckily the only snake Tara Dog ever encountered was a regular (though large) king snake. She barked and growled at it and made moves like she was going to grab it, but it kept moving its head in the way. I managed to get her away from it before it slithered off.
She's pretty good about not eating the wildlife even though she has had ample opportunities to do so. She chased a possum one night and it got stuck in my fence and I was expecting a crime scene by the time I ran up to her.
Nope, she's over there sniffing its butt while this thing is hissing and growling at her and she's looking at me like "why is this ugly cat so mad at me?" while wagging her tail at finding at new friend.
She's territorial like all GSD's are and wants to chase things out of the yard, but she isn't violent about it if she "catches" whatever she's chasing.
Shes like the complete opposite of my two. Theyre both chihuahua mixes. Theyve killed multiple bunnies and birds and whatever else they can catch. One got stuck in our fence and they got it before I could, the sounds that poor thing made.Luckily the only snake Tara Dog ever encountered was a regular (though large) king snake.
